Carlos, the owner of the place, told us a lot about the attractions and the night life of Rio. He is an awesome guy. Besides, the hostel is cozy and fun. In my opinion, the only flaw is that the kitchen is not so well equipped.

Perfect place and atmosphere for an individual or a group of travelers wanting to explore Rio whilst also getting in and amongst the vibrant nightlife that the city has to offer! The hostel is in a safe location, walking distance from the beach and metro. Carlos (the owner) has an abundance of passion and enthusiasm for his job, always around...

We'll preface this by saying that the extra star in the rating we've given is solely for the Manager Carlos's people skills, friendliness and readiness to give a refund upon request. We had intially booked to stay four nights at Samba Green but, after two we had had enough and chose to leave. For starters, the Kitchen: It's too small...

I planned to stay in Rio for two nights, but after finding this gem, I stayed for a month. If I could have I would have changed my flight home and stayed for another year! -The location: Right where you want to be. Walking distance from plenty of beaches, in a chilled out area but close enough to all the...

Me and my girlfriend booked in to stay for one night and ended up staying for nearly 2 weeks. The main reason for this was the manager (Carlos) and the rest of the team that worked there, with a special shout out also going to Emerson! Everyone was super friendly and we really feel we have made some life long...

Loved it here. Really helpful staff and great location. Rio is massive so it's a fair trip to anywhere but this place is in an excellent location, close to the beach and copacobana etc. It's good for most places. Staff have good English and we're really friendly. The owner was a top guy.

Probably the best stop along your entire trip. Rio is a truly beautiful city with sooooo much to do. Samba Green adds an entirely new element to a stay Rio de Janeiro. Cherish every moment you have there. This isn't your average hostel.

I was in a few other hostels in Rio and this one was the best. Not just for the hostel or facilities but the atmosphere. Carlos is the best host ever... always in contact with the guests so, it's easy to let the manager (him) know if you have any complain or If you are just lost trying to find...
