The hotel is profiled as some kind of co-working-hostel-thing. Well, it could have been. But there is no space to work available! Asking in the reception they said it has all been rented out long term to another company. I was directed to work in the kitchen. A dark depressing place, to say the least. The web page say there is work space available, which is an outright lie. There is loud music in all common areas. On the upside, there is a nice restaurant/pub/bar/cafe at 10th floor, That is about it. Better find accommodation somewhere else and find other place to work an come in for a beer at the bar in the evening.

If you like communal/hostel accommodations, Selina Copacabana is the place to stay. Very nice co-working space with ocean view, luxury coffee machine and filtered water. Clean kitchen for cooking. Cinema, library & rooftop restaurant. Very clean property. Friendly, welcoming staff! Lolo, Shyanne, Esteban and Guillerme at the front desk made us feel like family.

This hotel was much much cheaper than the grand mecure (which is close by) but the room was much fresher and cleaner and offered a great view. The gym is awful, the breakfast is very basic and there was no pool but when you consider value for money I believe it was very good. It’s less flashy and less pretentious but it does the basics well.
