This 4* hotel is just two blocks back from the beach behind it's more illustrious rival the Copacabana Palace Hotel (which is a useful reference point for taxi drivers who do not seem to have heard of the Copacabana Mar). The rooms are a reasonable size and the bathrooms although on the small side have decent showers. There is a...

It’s a little melodramatic to say this is the worst hotel ever (I’m sure it isn’t), but that’s what it felt like. Honestly, the hotel itself isn’t that bad. The rooms was clean and adequately decorated, if a little drab. The lobby has wifi. The breakfast food was pretty good. There is a pool on the roof with a mountain...

We booked this hotel from Tripmasters.com and were happy about it as it is walking distance to the Copacabana beach and everything. The little Italia restaurant nearby - hotel front desk told us to have lunch and dinner was really good.

This hotel is in a great location just a couple of streets off the main beach in Copacabana. Friendly staff, good selection for breakfast and clean rooms. What more do you need? Also great restaurants close to the hotel.

We enjoyed our short stay here on our tour of S.A. This is really a perfect location, loved the area for restaurants and shops and it's so near the beach!! Our room was very comfortable, at a reasonable price and quiet, too.

We stayed in this hotel for a week. Good location, so close to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants near by. Metro station is less than 100 meters. We were two females in our 50s and we did feel safe to walk around in the evening. Carols from the reception was very helpful and friendly. he helped me to...

Hotel is very well located for visiting the beach and exploring the sights of Rio. Spacious room and adequate amenities. Shower was leaking in the bathroom even after requests to repair, but we just kept extra towels handy.

Good location, near the beach but a bit far from downtown. Room clean and with enough space to accommodate well. However, the internet signal does not work in the room. Attentive staff. Reasonable breakfast.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
