The hotel is very close to Copacabana Beach (2 min walking) and the subway station (5 min walking). The room was clean and the breakfast quite good with a lot of fresh fruits. However, the bathroom wasn't so clean.

Great location: very close to the Copacabana beach (one block away) and metro station (3 blocks away), friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good, with international and local dishes.

My partner and i stayed here in May 2016. The rooms were spotless and very spacious, quite modern compared to other hotels i have stayed in rio. We had breakfast, buffet style lots of choice of fresh fruit, eggs cakes etc. There is a small pool on the roof top which has great views. Staff were very friendly and helpful....

The staff at the real palace hotel were very helpful. We had a prob w the room being 2 small and they helped us solve it. The location is good just a few blocks away from the beach. And the price was pretty cheap. The internet was faulty which was annoying but otherwise all was fine!

The hotel is in a convenient location, only a few minutes walk from Copacabana beach and from a subway station. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and comfortable. The rooftop swimming pool is quite small. Breakfast has a decent selection of fruits and bread. Staff are helpful. Reasonable price, compared to many of the other...

We were looking for a budget hotel, in a good location - and that's exactly what we got. Near Copacabana beach. Staff, rooms and breakfast all fine, pool is tiny and cold. Rooms serviced daily. No complaints. A good spot given its our first time to rio.

The front desk is OK. location is good. Breakfeast is OK. it is an OK hotel for its price, It can not be a 4 star hotel as it claimed. This hotel also has some units at the adjacent building. Those units are for overbooking as they said. I rate this hotel 3 and half star rating.

This hotel is well located, affordable but the rate is expensive for what it offers. In fact, hotels are a problem in Rio,most if them very expensive, little service to offers, poor room quality, however the breakfast us amazing with plenty of options and great food, many juices options.

Very good location. Very nice staff. Really enjoyed my stay and will stay here on my next stay in a few weeks. Two blocks from the beach. Rooms are clean but a tad bit dated. Traffic noise early in the morning is an issue due to the older windows. From looking around it appears that all of the hotels have...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.

“Do not pay to upgrade to a 'suite' they are merely corner rooms with no better view, space or amenities. The floor plan for each level of the hotel is laid out on emergency exit signs - it is obvious and apparent there are not different qualities of rooms.”
