Only hotel that would guarantee us a sea view with balcony. Views over Copacabana beach are truly stunning. Hotel is in desperate need of a refurb as its pretty tired looking, but huge bed is very comfortable, shower is excellent, breakfast is good, staff are very friendly. What more do we want.

Stayed in the luxury room during the carnival, which wasn't that much more than a normal room! Bed was giant, more than enough room, plus a single bed too. Bathroom was also quite big and as nice as it needed to be. Hotel was both very clean and reception staff very friendly! room service prices are an absolute bargain, large...

Location is Great however the rest is terrible. Rooms are too old, bathroom is tiny, air conditioner makes great noise rather then it's real function. Breakfast looks good but all the bakeries are at least 4 days old. Staff is not friendly and away from hospitality. I hope this is only my bad luck that all negative experiences happened at...

I don't have a lot to complain about this hotel. The location is great (in front of Copacabana beach), the staff was very friendly and helpfull, the room was spacious and clean (every day somebody came to clean it). As others are complaining, the bathroom did seem to be a bit old, there was this one day when the water...

Everything is old and dirty! I still can't believe I paid 200 dollars for this room! But then I didn't really have a choice and everything else was fully booked. I got here after 10 pm and the receptionist said he can't see my reservation in the system. After giving him the booking.com pin code, he saw that I did...

I had lowered my expectations after reading some reviews on tripadvisor, however, I was extremely pleased with the triple room my two friends and I shared. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, shower was great, staff were friendly- especially David at reception! Wonderful location, cross the road and you're at the beach, not too far from a metro, shops and...

Our room was dated and not very clean. (could use a thorough refurbishing) The water was slow running out of the tub and every time we took a shower, the bathroom floor is completely covered with water so we spent a lot of time mopping it up with towels. The room was cleaned only every other day which was not...

This hotel is just for storing your luggage and sleeping. The rooms are poorly refurbished. The floor had a hump, and was never really clean. The service is decent definitely not great. The plusses are that the hotel is right at the Copacabana Beach so that made it a plus. Close to restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the...

The hotel is very well located, right on Atlântica Avenue. The room was very big and comfortable, though the bathroom looked a little bit old. The breakfast was OK, nothing special. The view from the breakfast room was the best part of it.

It's old but it's really clean and service is very good just like the staff is really friendly and kind. It's not expensive and it's well located with a great view and everything's close. Had 5th floor. Expected less from a 3 stars hotel I do recommend it. Breakfast is really good they have varieties. Parking is a problem since...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
