Located at Arpoador, the coolest spot in Rio. The blue horizon merges the sky and the sea from your room window giving a breathtaking view of Ipanema beach. Best bar and restaurant just across the beach with very good staff. A unique experience!
Excellent!. we came here on Jan 2020 and were counting the days to come back when possible. 2022 was even better. The staff and the facilities are amazing, very helpful and give support in different languages, the bar and restaurant are really good and have vegan options. The hotel also has beach chairs and umbrellas for guests to use.
The best hotel in Rio. The only one that you go to Ipanema beach without having to cross a road, direct to the beach. The Arpoador breakfast is the best and the staff more than the best. It was a pleasure to be there.
Great amazing hotel. Perfect location, excellent breakfast, good rooms and very helping staff. Came back during our holiday 3 times and would again! The breakfast in the weekend on the top is something they should do everyday, that was our first breakfast and set the start of our complete vacation. Beach in front is super, especially with the towel en seat arangement from the hotel. Go and enjoy!! You will love it.
We arrived after our long haul flight with kids to be informed that the air conditioning at the hotel had failed due to storms. Arriving late with kids, we had little choice but to accept one night at the hotel and then a replacement hotel nearby the next day. Sleeping in the heat and humidity was impossible, so we made our change to Sol Ipanema the next morning. This was arranged by the management at Arpoador. Having paid for our stay in advance, we were assured that we would receive a refund for the difference in cost between these two hotels. I checked the available rate at Sol Ipanema for the days in question. The difference was considerable given Arpoador is a high quality five star and Sol Ipanema is at best a basic family hotel. We have not received responses to our refund requests. It was clear from the replacement hotel that the two hotels had simply agreed a much higher than true cost price for our alternative stay at over double the cost that I could have booked myself. Effectively Arpoador is profiteering from the misery and inconvenience that it caused us. We have not received an apology either. We can all understand that sometimes equipment fails and we were very flexible in our dealing with the hotel. We do not then expect to be ignored and ripped off in return. No doubt management will respond to this message with some flowery words of apology and reassurance, but our experience with this place was absolutely awful.…
