It's long time I stay in this hotel when I'm in Rio (around 40 nights/year) since 2018. I was here before COVID, I stayed there during the pandemic and now I stay here again after all. I'm start telling you that I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond and the reconisation is good here, you usually get a good upgrade to Junior suite, but please be aware that the hotel is often full, expecially during weekend/holidays. POSITION: located at the end of Copacabana, in Leme, more quite area, it's a good position with many markets and good restaurant at walking distance. Some shops are 10 min walk away. You have the beach just across the street and for everything else there is Uber. ROOMS: here is one of the bad point. Even if the rooms are comfortable and the bed is amazing (the best sleep ever) the rooms are quite old, absolutely not soundproofed (terrible!!) many dirt stains a little bit everywhere (carpet, table, sofa). The bathroom are also very old with a n incredible old scary bath tub. Many times, also, the toilet was clogged. You have also a 65" Tv, but the view from mostly rooms are quite amazing. A curious detail is that almost all rooms are different each other and looks like they have been awkwardly arranged by buying objects that are out of the context of the design of the room. FOOD and BEVERAGE: Breakfast is good with many stuff, even if some are by order only. Unfortunately the service sometimes is slow, expecially when the hotel is full, sometimes if you arriving late (around 10am) there is the risk to not find everything. unbelievable there is no jam, no bacon and the juices (just 2) are terrible (but there is a juicer). There is a small bar at the 4th floor with a small swimming pool that has no big sense since at the top floor there is the best point of the hotel. The rooftop bar is amazing, with incredible views of all Rio. There is a small swimming pool and a bar/restaurant. The area is small and unfortunately the service sometimes is slow/problematic, depending the staff who is working. Good the room service, in 20 mins you get your order in your room. STAFF: many people working there, some from long years. Many of there works really good and everything is fast ed perfect. I always found good and smiling people ready to help me. BEACH SERVICE: it's an area on the front of the hotel. there are some beach chair with small towels provided, 2 staff of the hotel helping you. There is a beach bar (Baracco) that provide food and beverage. EXECUTIVE LOUNGE: For gold and diamond member only. Here the staff welcome you in a perfect way. They are always ready to help you and be sure that Mr. Renato here makes the difference for everything. During the day water, coffee and soft drinks available, happy hour pretty good with wide selection of food/beverage. Position not really good since is on the ground floor and all people walking there can see you inside (and sometimes young boy/girl ask you money). SUGGESTION: it's necessary to have a bell man standing outside the hotel, instead of the useless and disturbing security guards. Change location of the Ex. Lounge. Improve F&B at the breakfast. Renovate the rooms.…
This hotel hit on all cylinders: Exceptional service, wonderful amenities and great views of the area. If you’re a Hilton Honors member you will be recognized for your status and treated well. The hotel arranged for my COVID 19 test (required to return to the US). The process was seamless and I had no issues. If you’re looking to spend time in Copacabana area this should be your first choice.
Breakfast is poor Noise from other rooms U can’t control the air conditioner, it is set to stay working all the time unless u turn it off, so the room gets very cold Staff are nice, location is great, but no private beach All in all will not stay here again
This hotel has seen better days - it’s badly in need of a complete interior overhaul, with dated and depressing room and common area decor and a pretty crap breakfast buffet. No balconies even for the beach-facing rooms. And prepare for bus loads of package tourists so you’ll be waiting 30 min for check in or check out or really any front desk request. Unless you really want to spend or earn Hilton there are far better options in Copacabana or Ipanema.
The hotel is clean and safe. You cannot beat the location- right on Copacabana beach!! Breakfast was good- there was a lot to choose from. There's 2 pools available; both have nice views of the beach and the ocean. The concierge is very friendly and helpful. The best part for me was the way they treat their Diamond members. They really roll out the red carpet for us! They were excellent at helping me with any question I had. I was happy to see the Executive Lounge was open and serving happy hour again. An excellent stay!
The hotel was clean and the staff were so helpful. The room had everything we needed and was spacious but the decor was quite dated. The bathroom was also well equipped however the bath was quite small and the hot water was not hot enough. The breakfast was lovely and it has to be said that the staff were helpful, polite and very hardworking. The hotel was rated as 5 star
Another wonderful experience. The breakfast is excellent, lots of fruit, cakes, breads, croissants all fresh and tasty with many more alternatives besides. There's also a cook preparing omelettes to your taste. Of the many hotels we know of, there has not been a team of staff at breakfast as efficient and friendly as this hotel has. Special mention to Hangel, Rafael, Anderson & Matheus. The room we stayed in was large with all facilities and a beautiful view of the coast. Excellent location and security, here the guests are safe. My husband and I felt like home from home. We are already planning to return in the future.
Hilton has a great location and accommodations. It also has more diverse clients and staff than other hotels in Rio. Some staff are very friendly and professional with clients, however, they still give preferential treatment to white people, staff still serve them first, and go to their tables to ask what they need. I needed to call staff many times in order to be served, especially in the rooftop pool. Hilton should deliver anti-racism training to all its staff as Brazil has a huge Black population and people of color are a great number of its clients.
This hotel has a great location for tourists, but its a half hour uber away from Centro. If you want to start at 7, dont expect to get breakfast at the hotel. Whilst the tooms was very comfortable, it is quite dated. The key switch was falling off the wall and the air con kept failing. The room key cards fail at random intervals so you cant use the lift or get in your room.
We arrived at jav 2022 and at 4pm we were 27 people with a tour and the check in Took till 9 PM This was our first time to be at a Helltown hotel and I expected more our room. Was in the 33rd floor with a wide and beautiful view and we and we could even see Jesus statue till the sea. Which was right next to us everything was so old The room wasn’t exactly clean and in the restaurant all the plates were not really clean for 37 floors they thought it would be enough to have only four elevators it was annoying because you had to wait over 10 minutes The location was pretty nice and they had a free Netflix account
