Stayed in this hotel with my wife in march 2017. Didnt have so much expectations, but the place turned about to be very nice, when you think about the price. First when we arrived and saw our room, I felt bit disappointed, cause its was quite small. But during the stay, I started to like it. Plusses; Cleaning lady kept the room very clean. Staff in the reception very nice. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of space at breakfast room every morning. (many people in these reviews have complained that there was no space). Location is very good. Minuses: Some problems how to use the air conditioner of the room. Wi-fi worked very bad at least in the second floor.

This is a budget hotel and accommodation is very simple. The room was quite small for our family, but the location offsets that problem. After all you go to Rio to see Rio, not your hotel room. Breakfast was simple but nice with fresh bread, cheese, ham, fruits etc. Staff was very cordial and the facilities were always clean. The neighbourhood is also nice with plenty of bars/restaurants around. They offer free WiFi, but unfortunately for some reason we weren't able to use it from the room, so beware of the top floor rooms.

Hotel Venezuela is located in a very convenient area of Flamengo. We arrived late on the first night after dropping off our luggage earlier in the day and unfortunately were given the wrong type of room (double not twin) and it was a very very tiny room. We couldn't sort it out with reception because our Portuguese and their English were not compatible (definitely not their fault) so we made do. The next morning we successfully changed to a twin room that was much better and more than acceptable. The included breakfast is simple but fine and the dining area is clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel if travelling to Rio on a budget

the hotel is very well located in front of flamengo beach and close to the MEtro station. Copacabana is 5' bus from there. we stayed for the World Cup, this was one of the most reasonable (in price) hotel we found, as Rio is always very expensive in comparison with other cities. people at the hotel was very friendly and services was good, breakfast was included and was ok. Themost interesting thinkg for us was that in the beach in front of the hotel there are public and free tennis courts!

People are cordial, it's cheap and clean. Bad thing is that the single room is really small, but for a couple of days when you won't stay inside is a nice place to stay. Breakfast is really good......
