We had a great stay at Lagoa Guest House! The staff are so informative and always happy to help- giving good advice and helping us find out how to get to places. It has good dorm rooms with secure lockers. There is a nice atmosphere there with communal areas and a kitchen for guests to use (supermarket nearby too!) it's...

The Lagoa Guest House has a nice familiar atmospher, combined with welcoming and polite employees. Even though it's a hostel, it has very quiet areas. For instance, I came to Rio in order to study and I'm not having any troubles studying. Also, things like drunk people arriving in the middle of the night, puking everywhere never hapens here (as...

I arrived in Rio and this place made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were so friendly and happy to provide you with heaps of info on stuff to do around Rio and the local area. As an independent traveller this place felt safe and the dorm rooms were nice and clean. I would definitely stay...

The staff at reception and the owner -Fabio, were really accommodating and helpful (ie. giving directions to different places, providing recommendations for cool places to visit nearby, etc.). The location has its pros and cons: it's far from the subway line so you need to either take a bus everywhere or walk, which could take a while. The good thing...
