Nice place, kind people and good food but room was narrow and not very clean. I found wonderful the quality of breakfast and lunch too. I loved the kindness of the girls and boy at the reception and in the kitchen

A wonderful oasis in Rio. A beautifully restored grand home in Santa Teresa, one of Rio's best neighbourhoods. The staff is excellent, and the rooms are stately, but intimate. This was as a highlight of my trip to Rio.

I was a bit disappointed by my room because of the size and lack of decoration but I had the single. It was a beautiful hotel overall and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local
artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this
neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors
can now stroll through this area to view magnificent
mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th
century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a
former mansion turned museum which houses works by
prominent Brazilian modern artists.
