We stayed in the Villa 25 during our last week of our 4 month journey in south america. My sister who was there before recommended us this place. Especially because of Luciano the hotel manager 😉! This man is just a hell of guy who really made us feel at home there and helped us out with any question or demand we had! Thanks again my friend 🙏❤️! The hotel by its self is awesome as well. Everything is clean and we'll maintained. The nearby peruvian Restaurant offers a nice Ceviche and a good Pisco Sour, for those wo want have a relaxing evening at the hotel don't want to go out. The breakfast buffet has everything what you need for a great start in the day! We can only say that we loved it there and will come again - For sure ❤️🇧🇷!
The staff is very nice and helpful, really enjoyed my stay in the hostel !! It’s near the metro and very well located. Also, the restaurant of the hostel serves delicious food, and their ceviche is very good !
Highly recommend for stay, food and drinks. Customer service went out of their way to meet all of our needs, they went that extra mile. Very clean and great location, can walk to many things to do. It's very close to subway, as well. If ever back in Brazil, we will return to here!! Obrigada!!
While the property is beautiful and the rooms are clean, you won’t get much rest because of the noise coming from the internal courtyard generated by other guests. The administration was of no help in this regard. I had booked a 3 night stay but went elsewhere after the first night because I couldn’t sleep. I asked Villa 25 for my money back and, thus far, they have not credited my account for the balance If you want a drink and a fun time by the pool, this is your place. If you actually need to sleep, go elsewhere!
Very nice and cosy hostel close to Praia do Flamengo and the Escadaria Selarón. Located 2 min away from Largo do Machado (ticket and boarding point to the Cristo Redentor statue). The breakfast is delicious and the staff very polite and helpful! Especially Luciano is a great host! Thank you guys! Great job!
Very well designed, conceived, situated, managed and beautiful hotel/hostel - affordable restaurant with quality food. Inspired and very helpful staff. It is very clear what you get and you are getting top value for money whether in the hostel or hotel. Only minus is limited availability of coffee!
Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere here. I felt comfortable and appreciated how relaxed it was here. In the rooms, the restaurant, and also common area. I'm happy to come back once I'm again in Rio.
Only just got around to writing this. However, we stayed here for a couple of weeks towards the end of June and early July 2019, both to see the Copa America and to see Rio. After looking for accommodation in Rio we were lucky enough to come across this absolute gem. We had a class time staying at Villa 25. The beds and rooms were comfy and cleaned to a high standard. However, our stay at Villa 25 being so good was largely to do with the staff there. Luciano is an absolute legend and all of the others at reception were equally as class. Any questions we had they were happy to answer, whether it be places to visit, restaurants to eat at or places to have a drink at, we were never disappointed. We did eat at the Villa 25 restaurant numerous times and the food was very very good, particularly the burgers - they were very affordable and tasted class. Again, the staff in the restaurant was also brilliant and would have a laugh with you. My advice for eating and drinking at the Villa 25 bar/ restaurant is to learn this key phrase: “eu gostaria de duas caipirinhas por favor” If you get to say that four or five times you’ll have a very good time! I’d also recommend going to the Largo de Machado square around the corner and going to the stall which sells Coxhinas for .99 Reals (about 20p each). They taste like heaven - the clogging feeling in your arteries is very much a problem for future you. Also, while you’re in the spiritual home of football you have to try and get to the Maracana - the stadium seems to be built to reverberate the sound, it’s incredible. And get yourself to some places with samba music, there’s loads of people who are happy to try and teach it to you. Rio’s class, we felt safe the whole time we were there and everyone was really nice. Of course you have to be sensible, particularly at night, but in our experience the rep you sometimes see the media give it isn’t justified. We will hopefully be back at some point - with a bit of luck it'll be for Carnival. Cheers for an awesome stay, James and Matt.…
I loved this hostel. I had a private room Price, location it was worth it. The food was good, we had B&B - close to get to a few of the tourist places like the stairs & Lapa The guy at reception who could speak English so helpful and kind.
I strongly recommend Villa 25 for any stay in Rio. Location is perfect to reach the main touristic attractions and area is safe to walk and eat outside although restaurant in hotel is great. Only problem is that rooms are noisy since all located facing restaurant so noise until at least 2300 and starting at 0600. Breakfast is included and good for the price. Rooms are a bit small and could use some renovation but very good price quality. Atmosphere is young and friendly
