Currently staying here right now for 3 days as the majority of guests including myself are required to do 3 days quarantine before flying offshore. The meals are delivered in a plastic tray which i can completely understand but what I cant understand is why they cannot cook the pork to the minimum safe temperature. See photo attached. Disgusting...

I am really sorry to write negative comments about this hotel. Most of the staff are helpful and polite. However there is a receptionist who was stunningly rude, and was borderline insulting. And the security guards treat guests in a hostile manner. It is not a welcoming atmosphere. You have to sign for towels at the pool, which is fine. But then you are questioned repeatedly whether or not you returned them at the front desk. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is inviting. But I cannot say it was a pleasant experience because of a few people who clearly do not understand the concept of hospitality. Pity because the hotel has potential.

Cannot give a complete review because the hotel was not quite complete during my two week stay for the Rio Olympics. Like much of Rio, this brand new hotel came right down to the wire in being ready for the games. Id say the place was 85% complete. That said, what WAS ready was very good. Location was great for the Olympics as it is right across the street from Olympic Park. Its in a very nice residential/business neighborhood. A full supermarket is just next door and a huge mall about a mile away. However, not the best location for seeing the must see sights of Rio. It is a good half hour ride or a lot more depending on traffic. I did not use public transportation so cannot comment on how long it would take by bus or train. I can say that cab fare and Uber in Rio is VERY cheap so its not a bad way to see the sights. More on the hotel. Staff was very friendly, with a special shout out to the bell boys who were very nice and helpful. Most of the staff spoke English, though as always I tried to use the basic language of any country I visit. Hotel IS brand new so rooms very clean. Not huge but not tiny either. Fantastic rain shower heads in walk in showers. Great rooftop pool that has wonderful views and eventually a bar. A real highlight was the hotel restaurant. VERY nice breakfast buffet and the burger I had there was outstanding.

After spending 2 weeks in Rio and coming from a fantastic hotel in Leblon my biggest mistake of the trip was booking Venit Mio Hotel for my last 4 nights. The hotel is new, clean and stylish but thats the only positive I can think of. Its almost too new, its got no character and lots of unfinished areas, the bar by the pool was completely empty and looked deserted. To me it feels creepy, the staff wander around on the ground floor doing nothing apart from staring at you when you walk in I found it very uncomfortable and it angered me the way they stare as if they are robots. I decided to try out the restaurant, be warned its only open certain times and theres no bar or anything to get snacks etc from you will have to rely on room service if you can get them to answer the phone. When I entered the restaurant there was no-one in there apart from 3 staff members that again were staring as I entered and sat down, while looking at the menu I could see them again just standing and staring so I got up and left. The location is TERRIBLE for anything other than the olympic stadium. Its a 25min taxi to the beach and its completely deserted everywhere close by. I really wish I went back to Leblon where I stayed in a fantastic hotel with friendly staff and a nice feel to it. Walking through the deserted corridors for Venit Mio Hotel feels like a prison. Try it and you will know how I feel.

Dear guest, Thanks for your feedback! I would like to clear some of your concerns. You stayed with us in a very low occupancy period - like a shoulder season, between Olympics and Paralympic Games, and for that reason, the hotels in Rio are not full. Concerning the off hours of the restaurant, we serve drinks and food at the rooftop bar. In terms of location, the hotel is very well located close to the Olympic Park, and in the heart of the new corporate center of Rio de Janeiro: Centro Metropolitano. I understand you were looking to stay closer to more tourist sites, and therefore I would always recommend researching the location of the hotel you wish to book before doing so. Thanks again for your comments!

Stayed at this hotel during the recent Olympics in Rio and on the whole can't really complain about much. The hotel was very well situated for access to the Olympic Park (and the IBC / MPC - press areas) but is a bit on its own with regard to places to go out for a meal or drink. I had a room on the 12th floor and never managed to get internet during my whole stay (despite constant reminding to the front desk - it was a problem they knew about but didn't fix during the 3 (yes THREE) weeks of my stay. The rooftop pool is small but nice to go to although the bar up there never got completed during my stay!! Gym is OK and has good outlook. Used the Spa once it opened and massage wss good and reasonably priced. Rooms themselves are quite small but have most things you'd expect. Can't really recommend it but can't dismiss it either.... Unless you're doing something that involves the Olympic Park I'd look at other areas.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your feedback and for choosing Venit Mio Hotel for your stay in Rio! Answering to your concerns, we indeed had an issue with our internet provider exclusively on the 12th floor, and since we had to entirely replace the antenna for this floor, it took a little longer that we'd expect. I am glad to inform that this issue is resolved. Also, I am glad to inform that the pool bar is open and serving great cocktails and bites. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed our spa and gym facilities, which boasts an incredible view. Thank you so much for your comments!
