We spent six days here after a business visit to Rio. Paraty is a very interesting place but beware the streets in the old town are made up of uneven boulders so they can be treacherous if you're not used to walking on them. We had frequent rain which made walking around even more of an adventure. The boutique hotel...

This pousada presents many benefits: - It is located in the city historical center meaning you'll be able to visit Paraty and live its charm from a privileged point of view; - It is a charming pousada: you won't have TV in rooms and that's the spirit, disconnect from TV, smart phones and emails; - It's gotta a pool and...

If you're looking for a small and lovely place, with some gardens, little monkeys on the trees in breakfast, good and well intentioned workers, you can find all of them in that inn. But, ... if you're depending on of internet acess, you don't go there. By hte way, in general, is a good way of spend your time in...

We were only able to stay for one night at this lovely place because we were running short of time. Loved the beautiful gardens and our room was spacious and well decorated in a colonial style. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was pretty good in the bathroom . Good breakfast and I loved the dog that is a mascot...

At the center of old town, very well kept bunglows in a secluded garden. Authentic old style rooms with a very comfortable bed (and a hammock). Little bit too quiet, bit like a place for retired people but I enjoyed my stay there.

Where else to stay in charming Paraty but in this gem of an inn tucked away at the end of a little street but steps from all the action in the historic district. Our room was spacious, well appointed in period pieces and spotless! The gardens are lovely with little rooms for lounging tucked around almost every corner. The pool...

Great choice! The location is perfect. It is in colonial Paraty but at the end of a quiet street. It is a short walk to the pier where everyone goes to get a boat which is the thing to do in Paraty. The grounds are stunning! The plants and the walkways are beautiful. There are a number of public rooms...

We stayed three nights at the end of our Brazil tour. The location is good as one can easily walk into the historic centre, and the hotel itself is delightfully old in the 18th century style of the rest of the town. The courtyards are full of tropical plants and orchids, there are many places to sit to relax in...

Spent 3 nights in a superior room, which had a huge bed, but was otherwise quite basic and dark. Windows don't have glass in them, so you get to hear people outside (& vice versa). Poor internet; ok breakfasts; good location, just off the main area of the old town and close to the bus station. Beware, Paraty's "cobblestone" streets...

Our only regret was not staying longer. Our rooms were clean comfortable and cosy. Great shower and comfy beds and the breakfast service was fantastic. The wifi isn't great but it wasn't a major when you consider all the fabulous adventures Paraty has on offer. I hope to visit Paraty again one day and I would definitely stay here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pousada Pardieiro activities began in 1968 with the purchase of a house in Tenente Francisco Antônio Street 72, where he worked on a small pension in precarious condition, a old house in disrepair. Hence the origin of the name, which continues today to mark the contrast of its evolution over the years. The founding members were the actor Paulo Autran and the lawyer Fabio Vilaboim Carvalho, attracted by the peace, tranquility and beauty of Paraty. Other properties were acquired and adapted to the Inn with the authorization and monitoring of IPHAN (National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage).Today, with 27 apartments, stands out as a typical hotel project in the kinds fits in harmoniously historical context of the old town itself, without breaking the local architectural standards and in full harmony with the landscape bathed by the sea and surrounded by tropical vegetation of the Atlantic region. ... more   less
