We stayed in the hotel's only room with a view, and it was definitely worth the little bit extra it cost. It was up a few flights of stairs, but nothing too taxing - the hotel staff can bring your bags up and down for you if requested. The room was lovely, very spacious and attractive - it even had...

After researching for quite some time pousadas in Paraty I finally booked our room at Pousada do Ouro. Our main criteria was the location: we wanted to make sure we were inside the historical center of Paraty. Pousada do Ouro is only one block away from the city´s main square so you can walk there in less than a minute....

The historic centre of Paraty is beautifuuly preserved and the Pousada Do Ouro sits at its heart. The Hotel is lovely, with comfortable rooms, a swimming pool in a tropical garden, excellent breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. While I was there there was an enormous thunderstorm which resulted in water coming into my room. The staff moved me quickly to...

We (2 adults 2 kids 16/10) stayed 5 nights in December. This place is beautiful and charming, in the center of historic Paraty but away from the crowds (especially nice for New Year's eve). Service is excellent, staff is friendly. Rooms were authentic, clean and spacious (with A/C).

We stayed in Paraty over New Year which was probably a mistake. The rooms have no soundproofing - it is an old inn, unfortunately the doors all have gaps, so you hear everything outside. Bands started playing from 6 pm down the street and noise just continued till the early hours. Inn could use ceiling fans in the main rooms,...

There are many pousadas to choose from in Paraty. This one is certainly not the cheapest but we chose it because of its reviews and also the amenities on offer, and we were certainly not disappointed. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, they just made us felt very comfortable. I'd say the service...

We stayed here for 3 days in November. The hotel is an historic property on the harbour side of the central historic district. We had room 20, a two room suite, in the main building - this was a delightful suite, very spacious with old fashioned furniture which was perfectly adequate. Some of the rooms are on the opposite side...

This was a pleasant pousada in the heart of Paraty. The staff were very helpful, knowledgable about the town sites to visit and restaurants. The room was well appointed with a good ensuite. One piece of advice, choose an upper floor room, as the ground floor ones tend to be gloomy and damp from lack of sunlight. Otherwise we enjoyed...
