Stayed here in the low season so it was fairly quiet but in a good location. Bed was comfy but shower was nothing more than a drip at best and completely freezing. However the breakfast was excellent and they leave out fresh fruit for the wild monkeys to come and eat in the morning whilst you are having your breakfast...

We recently stayed in Che Lagarto for 3 nights. We a couple in our late 20s/30s stayed in a private room upstairs. Room was very basic and dark with a boarded up window. Shower was fine with warm water. Wifi was slow in room but worked fine in the common areas. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included in cost...

Che Lagarde was a nice hostel to chill down a few days after visiting the big and busy cities like Rio and São Paulo. The shared rooms are quite small but there is juist enough space to put your stuff. The hostel was clean, the beds were decent, there is a great atmosphere between travelers and staff and the hostels...

Great hostel in a great location. Stayed in a double room for three nights which was cleaned every day. Breakfast and bar area are good and they always have something going on like dinner or music in the evening. Staff couldn't be more helpful! We had a great stay!

The hostel doesn't exceed the high rating in our opinion. The vibe is good, but the showers are freezing cold and de WiFi is a disaster. There are nice hammocks to relax in and the staff speaks English.

We stayed in a private room and it was very clean with good air con. There was problems with lack of water in the shower, but the staff worked hard to resolve this issue. The air con in the room was great and provided welcome relief from the summer sun! The breakfasts at Che Legarto are really good, lots of...

There was a mix up with my booking and no Dorm beds were available but I was put up in a private room instead. For free! The luxury of my own bathroom and room to myself was great and the room was modern and clean, with AC. As a solo traveller a private room makes meeting others slightly harder though...

Very nice hostel with a cheap meal every night and a bar with cheap drinks. The breakfast is very good (for Brazilian standards) and the staff is helpfull. There was a live concert on Saturday night, very good! We slept on the opposite side of the street so this was quiet at night, but I can imagin it being very...

We booked a dorm room and got upgraded to a private room for free. The hostel was nice and relaxed, with hammocks, a bar and offered cheap food each evening with a free caiparihna. They also offered tours and we did the boat tour which was spoiled by the rain. They also did our laundry for us for a small...
