location of the hotel is great. It is at rua das pedras and there are lots of amenities near by. The sea in front of the hotel is not convenient to swim. To reach to famous beaches like fernandes, you just walk 50 m and get a minibus which you pay 2.8R$ for one way and takes you in around...

Mr Baram thank for your comments. Just to try to do our best I would like to ask which service was bad because you said the room is ok and breakfast ok and Mercedes also. Best regards Sonia Persiani

Pousada do Sol it's located right at Rua das Pedras which means you're in the middle of the everything. In the evening you have the best restaurants right on the corner during the day the best beaches are in every corner. The view of our room was spectacular and you'll sleep and wake up with the sound of the waves....

Loved the staff and the place itself but so disappointed by the owner. The place is worn and funky but quaint too. Typical third world charm. Our balcony table top was off center and it tipped over when one of us lightly brushed it. The top broke and we were lucky no one was hurt. The owner demanded we buy...

We really loved staying here because of the staff and location. Ivete and Carmen were so very helpful and gave us an early breakfast the day we were leaving, so that we could catch the 9.00 a.m. bus back to Rio.Taxis can come right to the door although it is a pedestrian street. We arrived very tired after a seven...

We loved our few nights at Pousada do Sol and staying in Brigitte Bardot's suite (8) - it is utterly charming but this place is not for everyone so listen up: it all depends what you are looking for. If you want a beach shack turned Pousada in the center if Rua das Pedras that feels authentic and is right...

For our first time trip to Búzios we stayed in “Pousada do sol” for a weekend (2 nights) beginning of January. The pousada is located in the pedestrian area of Buzios (“rua das pedras”), which is the street right behind the houses facing the fishermen`s port and it is usually closed for car traffic. Nevertheless we were able to convince...

Really lovely staff (Vinny and Maria were particularly helpful and extremely friendly!). In an country where English is seldom spoken it was great to be able to have our queries answered and be understood. They also arranged transfers to Rio upon leaving, saving us a trip to the Riodiavaria (sp) Bus Station which was a little dodgy! The location is...

Buzios is the most beautiful place to visit--3 hours by bus transfer from your hotel in RIO costing Real 70 each way. One of the most important things about Buzios is where to stay. On reading the reviews of other guests i made a reservation at Pousada do SOL. What a mistake. We had their no 1 room with balcony...

If you enjoy beach access, ocean views in the center of all the action and steps away to serenity and tranquility ( casa brand as just around the corner) this is the most valuable place in Buzios! It's owned by a woman(which Kimberly loves) the head Chef Sonya, and boy does she offer excellent options and fantastic libations. This is...

You will see a lot a tributes to Bridget Bardot in Buzious. In the 1960's she had a Brazilian boyfriend and Buzious was then a simple fishing village. They stayed right here, at Pousada do Sol - room 8 in fact. I found this all out as they checked me in to.....room 8 ...her name is on the door! Location...

“I would not recommend to take a room at ground floor, the noise coming from the restaurant (patio) is very annoying in the room (especially room 8, the BB room). Hopefully upstairs rooms are better. Room 8 has a nice view to the fishermen's port through a little window, but very noisy from both sides, beach and patio.”
