Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel in excellent location. Helpful and polite receptionists. The cleanliness of the bathrooms left something to be desired. As they do not have windows, the odor is strong. However, after complaining, they were promptly washed. I recommend it for people who will only use it for bathing and sleeping.

The hotel is very well located in front of Cabo Branco beach, the reception and staff are very attentive and receptive. first class breakfast, lunch and dinner. the daily rate is a fair price. It has its own free parking. I recommend!!

My wife and I had the experience of staying at IBIS Paulista in SP and we liked the experience, from the hospitality of the staff to the variety of breakfasts, but unfortunately at IBIS João Pessoa we had some frustration about the (lack of) cordiality of a good part of the staff, always with a closed face or angry face. We know that the hospitality service is sometimes exhausting and tiring, but when dealing with the public even in a more "business" hospitality profile we like to feel welcomed by the hotel. Regarding breakfast, we also found much fewer options compared to SP, we also understand due to the size of each capital, but I believe that there is still room for improvement in the João Pessoa IBIS. In the most comfortable environment that generally delivers what is proposed.

I have been staying at Ibis for around 2 years due to work. It was never the best hotel, but there came a time when I understood that I couldn't demand much. But I believe that some excellent manager understood that I needed to save money on laundry and since my last 3 stays there are no more floorcloths in the room. Yes, the floor cloth used for guest safety when leaving the shower must be requested at reception. Just like the floor cloth, duvets that were previously available, request is also required. I believe that in this manager's view, not all guests would request these pieces. In fact, the first few times it occurred to me, I didn't ask for it. But I believe that this professional did not consider the tremendous customer dissatisfaction with this, in addition to the risk of an accident due to wet floors.

As if that weren't enough, Ibis in João Pessoa has a very "homely" economy, we can say. Do you know when your soap and shampoo are running low and to make more use, we top up with water? In this Ibis, as I believe in the others, a shampoo/conditioner is available attached to the box. Here in João Pessoa, it is only noticeable by the consistency of the product, which is being topped up with water. I stayed at Ibis de Natal a week before and I guarantee that the consistency was completely different.

Taking advantage of the fact that I mentioned the Ibis in Natal, it serves as an example for the one in João Pessoa. In all rooms there are extra pillows and duvets, in the bathroom there are floor cloths and two towels and the shampoo/conditioner is, in fact, replenished.

First time I've stayed at an Accor hotel that doesn't send me that review email after staying, and I understand why: This was definitely the worst Ibis I've ever stayed at (and the most expensive too). The service in general is very regular, with one exception, which was a very solitary Mr. who served us on our second day, otherwise it is below average service: staff are not very willing nor do they offer essential information about the hotel, such as that the room keys were printed backwards (you must use them in the opposite direction of the arrow). There were dozens of mattresses thrown in the Lobby (yes, just thrown right in the middle of the Lobby on a holiday - high season). Poor maintenance, with worn furniture. TV was broken, it was reported and nothing was done. Air conditioning didn't cool. We arrived and there were no towels in the room. Old and small bedding for the size of the bed. Hotel is facing the sea, but in an area away from the movement of João Pessoa (you always need a car to go to where there are bars and restaurants). It is definitely not worth staying at this hotel and I am concerned that the Accor chain maintains a property in these conditions.

Hotel has suffered from the effects of time, without renovation. Attentive staff, but something unacceptable happened for a hotel.
There was simply no blanket. They explained that there was high occupancy and a delay in the laundry, but precisely because of the high occupancy, we paid double the normal rate, to sleep without a blanket. Bathroom also shows signs of the passage of time, in need of urgent renovation.
For the price paid, I no longer recommend Ibis João Pessoa.
There are better alternatives for the value.

Buildings in need of repairs and cleaning, reasonable breakfast, weak shower pressure.
Rooms with some external noise. There was construction work next door and the windows didn't block out the noise.
Blackout curtains and comfortable bed
The location is very good.

I made a question of coming here to praise Ana Ligia of the kitchen! I ordered a chicken fillet with rice and green beans, my God... How much love I had for that food, the best chicken fillet with rice and beans I've ever eaten! A simple dish but with so much love and capricho! The dish was a wonderful delight, sorry I didn't take a photo to put it here! But it was clear the dedication and love, decorated and tasty dish! Congratulations Ana Ligia, continue delivering your best! You deserve to be praised!

Tem piscina no hotel?
Answer from Gcs40
Recife, PE54 contributions37 helpful votes
