Wonderful experience in this peaceful country getaway. Suite was spacious and very well decorated. Short drive from Ashland, Washburn, and Bayfield. Really enjoyed the time away, would definitely return again.

Second Wind was the perfect home base for the relaxing long weekend that we were looking for on the South Shore. What brought us to the area was the Superior Vistas Bike Tour. I ended up not bringing my bike, but my sister and her friend rode and they said it was well-organized, supported, and would come back to do...

What a wonderful place to relax and re-connect as a couple! The home itself was cozy, clean and private. Driving up their driveway for the first time made us excited as we said, "We get to stay here!?!" We loved our view out the window (we were on the first floor) and it was so close to local attractions. If...

We stayed at this B&B while visiting my wife's family after Christmas. The Illick's were very friendly to us and our room was SOOO nice We had the bear room which was decorated with lots of cute stuffed animals (black bears of course :-P). The room also had a jacuzzi which was super relaxing. We woke up the first morning...

My brother-in-law and I stayed here for a hunting trip. We stayed in lumberjack loft. The loft alone had a full kitchen of its own and had an astonishing view, overlooking the feild. The morning breakfeast was incredible, we had cranberry smoothies and rhino hides (dutch oven pancakes) lathered in locally harvested natural maple syrup. The inn keepers are very...

Second Wind was a great B & B tucked in the woods of Ashland, WI. It was just a short drive out of Ashland, that made it very easy to get to town and it was close enough to Bayfield if one wanted to explore that area. Kelly and Mark were extremely friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was as great...

Kelly and Mark truly love what they do. They clearly love people and their attention to the details shows. We stayed in their "Bear" room for two nights. We were lucky enough to find this place for a last minute trip to Bayfield. Will definitely plan a return trip. Oh, and the breakfast was delicious!!

We just booked another Labor Day extended weekend here! The hosts are so kind and accommodate all dietary restrictions and provide incredible breakfasts. They were so sweet and invited my daughter out during her upcoming college freshman year. We obviously loved it because were coming back this year!!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at tis fantastic place! The hosts, Mark and Kelly make you feel right at home. The breakfasts are to die for! It is so much fun roaming the grounds and watching the farm animals. It is so close to town but seems like you are far away. There is no better place...
