We booked last minute almost but managed to grab a very good deal (around $100 p/n) for a lovely double room with the largest bed I'd ever seen (it's basically three queen beds next to one another I think). View of the ocean was lovely, room is immaculately clean and location is unbeatable! Breakfast is delicious but honestly I think...

This hotel is an oasis of calm in the historic Pellerinno quarter of Salvador. Our room was very clean and comfortable but had no balcony. There are only 10 rooms - so suggest request a balcony room. Outside is noisy but sound-proofing is excellent, we never heard anything after we went to bed. Breakfast is waiter served and of high...

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The owner welcomes you personally and gives you some basic advice for the area. Rooms are very large, clean and well equipped although more charging points would have been appreciated. Bathrooms large, with a huge shower and again very clean. Toiletries provided, not a brand I recognised but sufficient for a short...

The Hotel is really nice and the owner is very well taking care of it. The restaurant serves excellent local dishes. From the hotel you can walk to the cathdral, the Amado museum and the elevator. The rooms are quite big and we had a nice terrace. There is a pool with a view on the sea and a roof...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was large and so, so comfortable. It faced the bay providing a great vista and quiet on nights when the street was busy and noisy. The common areas have been perfectly restored and made inviting and cozy. The lounge/bar on ground floor is wonderful. I also enjoyed the pool which...

Hotel Casa do Amarelindo is situated in the heart of old Salvador. Its a great place for visiting the old town and the main town using the lift which cost a few cents and is a great tourist experience. The Casa do Amarelindo is a lovely boutique hotel with good rooms (not huge) on several floors. There is also a...

I loved my stay at Casa do Amarelindo. The hotel is beautifully decorated with open air sitting areas, a rooftop bar and a gorgeous small pool on another deck overlooking the water. The room was well appointed and comfortable with its own small patio. And the staff were more than helpful with directions, suggestions, cabs, etc. The location is perfect...

We enjoyed 5 days and nights at this charming hotel just as much as we hoped to!! This is the perfect location for Salvador—in the Pelhourinho with so much to see and do. We had Room 8 on the second floor, with a view of the ocean and it is a lovely, luxury room. The bed is the biggest we’ve...

The reception staff made our visit really special with their...
