The outside of this pousada reflects the authenticity of the place. Old beautiful building very close to the historical centre. The location gives a very real feel of salvador. The hotel is nice and clean with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very friendly but without much english, which adds to the feel of the area. Beds are super comfy and...

Like most everyone else, I really enjoyed the Redfish, and the helpfulness of Charles and his staff. I stayed twice,at the beginning and end of my trip to Bahia. The first time I was with a friend and we shared an airy upstairs room with two big beds. Then, on my own, I was assigned one of the downstairs garden...

Stayed for three nights at this nice pousada and had a great time. We stayed at the upper floor in room no. 1 - a big room with two double beds, an ok bathroom, and a terrace with a hammock. Well functioning aircon. Wifi just outside the door. The pousada is very well situated in a quiet area but within...

After a long journey, we were greeted by the handsome English speaking owner, Charles, who accommodated me and my friends. We were given the option of which room(s) we wanted. We felt safe and well taken care of at Redfish. He and his staff answered all of our many questions with smiles and love. The breakfast, coffee, tea, and fresh...

My girlfriends and I were forced to leave an unsavory retreat in the Camacari area and were scrambling for a place to stay very last minute. The owner (Charles) was absolutely amazing, he responded promptly to our cry for help and opened his doors to accommodate our group (5 women) and did I mention that the facility is beautiful!? His...

My family and I stayed at Redfish and had a great time. I travelled with my wife, 2 daughters (age 5 and 8) and my in-laws. We stayed 4 days during the World Cup and had the great room overlooking the beautiful church. Tessa greeted us and she was a great host helping us with everything we needed. The pousada...

Good location (wrong place for people who have a problem sleeping with noise) big room, simple furniture. Room only superficially clean (black feet from walking to tiolet barefoot). Staff: noninvolved (no interest in giving information or knowing if we feel in good hands) but correct. Breakfast ok - lack of care for detail.

We spent 8 nights here during our World Cup stay in Salvador and had a great stay. We were a family of 4 and very comfortable in our room which had 2 queen beds and a great view over the colourful buildings and cobblestone streets. The location is ideal just a short walk from pelhourino. We walked everywhere and felt...

2nd trip to Salvador and first time in this area. Great and helpful staff around the clock. Clean. Quiet. Cozy. Nice breakfast. Easy walk to surrounding areas. Easy to catch cabs. Best part of both tourist and local living. Hate to leave! See you soon!
