I've travelled to over 50 countries, but this is the only hotel in which I've stayed that had its own zoo. This is a huge place, overlooking the Rio Negro (the "smaller" brach of the Amazon) on the edge of the city of Manaus. It's a perfect base for exploring the Amazon region. I've stayed here twice and particularly recommend...

We would stay here again, the views of the river were spectacular. The local bus can take you to town in 20 minutes... bus stand is 500 feet from lobby.

Just a small trip away from the heart of the Amazon area. Lots of wood in this well constructed hotel. Well equipped rooms, although some of them very hard to reach for the elderly in our group. How big can a hotel get ? Still very good overall experience.

This hotel was booked by our travel agency for the first night of an Amazone trip package . Our impression is that it had already been a great hotel but some renovations are required. Rooms are clean but a little bit deprecated. Location is far of downtown so restaurents in hotel are the only option. However, it's directly on the...

If you are looking for a blingy brass and glass modern creation this hotel is not for you. This huge hotel is reminiscent of a colonial hotel built during the rubber boom. Beautiful hard wood finishes abound and although in the middle of renovations it was not noticed due to the 4 wings that are totally isolated from one another....

I arrived there very late and was warm welcomed by the staff...which was great after a long flight. The corridor is elegant, wide and huge, the room is spacious and clean. I did not realize how big the place is until the next day seeing guests in the lobby and dinning room..etc. The room is sound proofed and I had...

The air conditioning was minimal in our room. It was clean enough. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Property is nice with pool, zoo, area along the river. Maybe a 3star maximum.

Me and some job mates stayed there during two nights. The breakfast is amazingly good. You may enjoy some regional fruits and the unforgetable "tapioca" ! After working time, we had a good time at the swimming pool and some guys took a short bath in Rio Negro River, that runs in front of the Hotel. You may also enjoy...

The hotel is HUGE and rooms are big enough to be comfortable. Everything folks say about the WiFi/internet access is true. Even if you pay for WiFi for your room, people still had trouble with connectivity. Additionally, the front desk failed to provide us with a wake up call FIVE times. That said, the hotel is spacious and people are...

I have been to this hotel many times over the past 12 years, alone and with family. I agree it belongs to another age and has somewhat faded elegance, but for me at least it still struts! Yes carpets can be old but my room has always been clean and I much prefer this to the Park suites down the...
