My daughter and I stayed over this past weekend. The welcome was great, the innkeepers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely recommend!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Henry Clay Inn, and I can highly recommend it. One of my previous jobs was doing hotel site selection for conferences so I take special interest in accommodations. LOCATION is not far off I-95 north of Richmond immediately adjoining the attractive Randolph-Macon College campus, and across a one-lane street from the railroad...

We were looking for an inn to stay at before taking a morning train to New York City. Located just north of Richmond and right next to the main line this proved to be the perfect place. The inn is a beautiful historic building sharing the town of Ashland with Randolph-Macon College. Very friendly and accommodating proprietors. The rooms are...

What an absolute pleasure having you and your wife stay with us. Between the Ashland and the NYC vacation...the two of you were able to see two great parts of our great nation...God Bless America! Thank you for passing on the good word, for your suggestions on our operation and most importantly for your friendship and ambassadorship. Have a great...

If you like trains, this is the place to stay! Train tracks run along side of the hotel. So neat to watch and hear them company. Train buffs and there to take pictures and just watch the trains go by. Henry Clay Inn is a nice B & B type setup. Breakfast is a real treat. Rooms are nice size....

I recently hosted a surprise party for my wife at the Henry Clay Inn. The Inn was the perfect location and Grace was phenomenal to work with. They went out of their way to ensure the party went off with out a hitch. I would definitely recommend the Henry Clay Inn for events and celebrations. Thanks so much!!

I spent two nights at the Henry Clay Inn in mid-January--just in time to see the attractive Christmas decorations before they were taken down. The Inn has two fireplaces running at that time of year, one in the spacious lobby and one in a large open area for socializing on the second floor. The latter area proved to be very...

The Henry Clay Inn provided the perfect place for two days of R&R. The Inn is beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are very nicely appointed with all of the amenities (Gilchrest & Soames bath products; bottles of water, hair dryers), including a mini fridge in every room and a flat screen TV. Most of the rooms are on the second...

I absolutely LOVE The Henry Clay Inn. I have stayed here multiple nights and each time was a delight. The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. This is a wonderful place to stay as Ashland is right in the middle of Central Virginia. Whether you are biking, traveling the Civil War Trails, exploring, or vacationing, this is the...

We were here just after Christmas. The Inn is located at the train depot and is quite quaint. Very pretty decor for the holidays. We had a ground floor room. You can park around back and have access to your room. You can enter the Inn from either the front or the back. The bath and shower were nothing fancy...

One of Ashland's best kept secrets. Had a wonderful brunch. Best omelette ever, and husband's French toast looked amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Our waitress, Elaine, took great care of us. Next time I'll try the Chesapeake omelette with crab.
