This is my favorite hotel in the Dc area. The location is amazing - a very short walk to the metro station and only a few stops from the Smithsonian. Rooms are clean and easily accommodated our family of four. Good breakfast in the morning. A Starbucks is across the street.
Very good accommodation for visiting Arlington/DC/Georgetown. Close to Metro but we walked to the National Cemetery then into DC via Memorial Bridge. Comfortable bed, although sofa bed was creaky and we were glad only 1 person needed it. Staff very professional and helpful. Breakfast ok. Not a great variety for anyone with a gluten intolerance, but enough to fill you up. Appreciated Keurig coffee maker in room for decent brew. Close to supermarket for provisions- <5 min stroll, and kitchen well equipped albeit only 2 burners on hob. Rooms are a little tired but very good value for DC area. Plenty of power outlets but would have appreciated USB charging points (had only one US/UK adaptor, as I expected USB points as standard). Will definitely consider staying here again if returning to DC area and happy to recommend it to anyone.…
All interactions with staff were polite and professional. You’ll get a Decent breakfast here. The rooms are spacious was wonderful. I enjoyed a bath for the first time in months. My bed was heaven. I was very happy with my stay at the Residence.
The inch long silverfish bug is the least important of my 4 major complaints. When something this nasty only ranks as #4 it is a REALLY BAD STAY! #3 The room was advertised, reserved and confirmed as having a 4 burner range and oven. The room was guaranteed with pre-payment. There was a 2 burner cooktop and no oven. #2 Our unit was the only ADA 2 bedroom in the hotel. It was also the only 2 bedroom without an oven. By federal faw, ADA rooms must be EQUALLY EQUIPPED. #1 The management and desk staff were HORRIBLE. The rest of the staff was great. The GM argued with me about the ADA regulations, but later acknowledged that I was right. She didn't listen to my concerns. First she offered me a non-ADA room rather than the room I had reserved. Then she offered a $50 grocery giftcard when my concern was the lack of a proper kitchen. Seriously, I was offered groceries when my complaint was the lack of a proper kitchen. I had to fight with staff for 5 hours just to get a blanket. The list goes on and on. In short, stay away. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.…
I stayed five nights at the Marriott Residence Inn Rosslyn and could not have been happier. Although it is an older building, the place is spit-spot clean. The staff could not have been kinder. Location is two blocks from the metro station in a very safe neighborhood. Take the Metro right from DCA, even if you arrive at night. You will see joggers, dog walkers, and strolling families. Very close to all the sights of Washington, DC. Great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!
Had to make a quick business trip. I love staying here because it's a quiet neighborhood with many amenities. Betty did a wonderful job, going above and beyond to be sure I had the transportation I needed to get around DC. Thank you!
The hotel ranks very high for convenience! Georgetown is walkable, although not that close. The rooms are comfortable, although somewhat small, and the staff were very helpful. Lots of tourist activity nearby, including a quick walk to the Metro.
We’ve stayed here a few times, never again. It’s really showing its age. The beds are probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, and Marriott is not truthful about their “queen size” mattresses (6” narrower than standard, we measured) - I’m actually headed to a chiropractor today thanks to that bed. Sheets barely fit on bed. The bathroom shower was literally falling apart. Our reservation was all screwed up, charged to the wrong card despite specific instructions by the people who made the reservation in-person. They also only placed one person in the reservation when told multiple times in-person it was two, with our names. Due to the general unfriendliness of staff, I would guess many of these issues (bad room, bad bed, charge and reservation problems) revolve around us being a same-sex couple, and tend to believe this is a homophobic establishment. Never, never again, I would literally rather sleep in my car.…
Spent a November weekend in DC and this hotel was perfect! First, special thanks to Jaden and Helina who quickly checked me in, were ultra nice, and provided a super room with a great city view. Marriott is lucky to have these two on staff! The hotel is in the heart of Rosslyn, so we were able to walk to Georgetown. Ditto for walking to the Mall. There were scooters and bikes aplenty, but the weather was so nice it was great to walk and see the Potomac River. Everything was nearby, including the Rosslyn Metro stop (maybe 2 blocks away), Bethesda Bagels, and numerous great coffee shops. The room itself was spacious and very clean. It was slightly dated, but had everything we needed and more. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
While the rooms (we had several) are in desperate need of a facelift, the genuine hospitality we received beforehand from Jan’nelle in Sales, and customer service during our stay from Dominic at the front desk, more than compensated for any aesthetic concerns we had. Convenient, residential neighborhood location with easy parking.
