We stayed at the Hilton in March 2022. It was our 3rd stay over the last couple years. While we have always had a pleasant experience, one of the receptionist/desk clerks -- Tsegenada Negash (I hope we have the spelling right) -- was a standout for her courtesy, helpfulness and efficiency. She provides the kind of experience that lends guests the confidence that the next visit at the hotel will be similarly positive.
Stayed twice in June 2021; first for business and then again when my wife and I visited the area. This hotel delivers with attentive and friendly service in a prime location at the entrance to Old Town Alexandria, directly across from the King Street Metro Station. The King corner rooms are spacious with nice views. King bed was very comfortable and the room in good repair. The hotel is also in good repair throughout. The full-service lobby Starbucks (6a-1p) offers convenience for a quick coffee or breakfast. The workout room was more than adequate. Parking garage is directly adjacent/underneath hotel and has ample spaces dedicated for Hilton guests. I am a Diamond Honors member and stay at Hilton properties throughout the U.S. and Europe, and this hotel has become one of my favorites. I highly recommend for business or leisure travel.…
This is a great location if you want to spend time in Old Town Alexandria or hop on the Metro to visit museums, parks, monuments, and restaurants in Washington, DC. The train station is a stone's throw away and the metro, buses, and free trolley at your doorstep. The hotel itself is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Just remember room rates are not quoted with taxes and parking-ouch! It's a surprise at the end of your stay.
The place was ok but the room was really old and dated. A little mildew on the shower curtain, bed skirt was worn with holes and wallpaper was peeling. Room was clean just old which made it feel unclean.
No microwave in a suite, had to go all the way lobby to heat something up, never had to do that before. $26 dollars a day, never had to do that before, and there is no alternative parking that I could see. So keep that in mind for additional cost, again I blame my self for not fully reading everything about property. Furniture was worn, definitely time to replace a few things. Everything looked good when I first arrived, which was at night, but with everything next morning and add some light, perspective changed. The food, for the price, the quality and the portions. Better off swinging by a McDonalds. Fries, over cooked and hard, shouldn’t have even made it out the kitchen. Chicken not fully cooked, potato’s on entrée under cooked, or maybe that’s how they were supposed to be. The portion wouldn’t even feeler a 2 month old if they where eating solid food and that’s and understatement, seriously. I really wish I would have taken pictures of that mess or $50.00. Over, Over priced and that’s excluding anything to drink. …
