This hotel is absolutely a hidden Gem! The location is so convenient to everything. My husband and I rode the Amtrak train there and the hotel was directly across the street. This hotel is great for families or great for a weekend getaway. The hotel is very beautiful inside and the rooms are really nice and the beds are very comfortable. The staff here is very friendly. The front desk associate who's name is Candy was extremely pleasant and professional. She remembered me and my husband staying there from last year, We will definitely be returning!!!!

Hotel's Favourite
We were visiting our daughter in Alexandria and chose this hotel for their convenient location next to the metro and short walk from Old Town. While those factors were important to us we had no idea of the exceptional service we would receive. We asked for a fan and firmer pillows and within hours were brought a floor fan and 4 firmer pillows - it looked like they just bought them! We also really appreciated the parking garage for our daughter when she dropped by to visit. Breakfast was delicious and having a Whole Foods and CVS across the street was very convenient for picking up drinks and snacks. We will definitely be back!

Had a great experience here. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The free breakfast was great as well as the happy hour. The location was perfect across the street from the train station. I do wish the hotel had a concierge service or the desk staff was a bit more helpful and informative concerning activities, dining, etc; however, they were very nice.

I stayed with a school group. We requested to have rooms close together but they were scattered all throughout the floor with the main chaperone in a corner room. Maybe it is possible to put them close together next time with the schools booking far and advance and only needing about 15 rooms. I did mention the night auditor not being the friendliest in my Google review as he did not say a word to me... To be clear, this was not the gentleman with glasses who worked the night as he was very pleasant. Other staff members were very friendly. Breakfast was very good every morning with omelets made to order! The rooms are very large and clean and the facilities are nice as well. The pool is one of the cleanest I have seen in a hotel. It would be nice if they didn't have such weird hours for guests who want to swim in the middle of the afternoon. The atrium area is very nice to look at outside of your room. Can’t wait to return next year.…

In this area, a lifeguard is required so we have the pool opened during high usage times, but appreciate the suggestion to relook at the hours. Stayed four nights for a conference at Gaylord and the daytime was really hectic. However, I felt really relaxed when I returned back to my room. No big bath tub, no chandelier, no champagne, but a spacious and quiet room, so friendly staff, American style breakfast and others gave me a power for tomorrow. It was really like a home. Of course, it is suggested not only for Americans, but also foreigners from outside of the US like me. For price, no complaints considering inflation globally.

First, I would like to acknowledge Alistair who was so very helpful with check-in and pointing out the various amenities provided by the hotel. Secondly, the suite was well-designed and set for any type of use. Thirdly, the breakfast setup was fantastic, especially the omelet station. Finally, the mattress I slept on was wonderful slept so well and didn't have any trouble at all. I need one for myself at home.

This hotel is tucked away in Old Town, VA right across from the metro station which makes it easy to travel into Washington DC. The complimentary breakfast could stand to be switched up a little but certainly isn't bad. The ladies at the omelet station and all of the servers were polite and hospitable. The room was very clean and housekeeping seems to do a great job. The highlight of my family's stay was ALISTAIR! Hands down he was attentive and hospitable as soon as we walked through the automatic doors. He greeted us with great energy and cheer, offered options for our room, and made some other great suggestions about activities in the area. Alistair was exceptional and took our stay from great to excellent! Great employee Embassy Suites!

Our family had a wonderful stay here during our Spring Break trip. The room was nice and spacious, enjoyed having a mini-refrigerator for our drinks and any leftover food. All of the staff we encountered were kind and helpful- front desk and custodial staff assisted us with an issue with our room door lock at the end of our stay, waitstaff during breakfast and evening receptions were extremely helpful and made everything run smoothly, our hospitality attendants were very thorough and respectful of privacy when needed. Breakfast was wonderful, lots of options and fresh fruit every morning. They have busy time frames for breakfast posted in the elevator which was helpful. Our PSA to future families who stay here: as a courtesy to the staff and other families: please assist with bringing your dirty dishes to the bins when you are finished- it is so helpful and courteous to the next family who sits at the table. We loved the location as others have mentioned with being so close to the Metro, Whole Foods, and other local eateries. We also discovered the King Street Trolley- so cool! We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again in the future! 😊…
