Stayed a week for a conference in National Harbor. Clean room with a unique dog-themed style. It was small but sufficient and clean. It seemed to fit well with the personality of Old Town (and their accommodations for dogs in the surrounding area). Great water pressure and shower head for a little relaxation. Quiet for sleeping. No real services in hotel but near a diner and coffee shop/breakfast spot, with many restaurants in walking distance. Very small frig space is in each room (holds roughly 6 bottles of water). A nice area on the main level to meet colleagues and friends.
We are a young family that had a late arrival. From booking to late night check-In, the staff and property were incredibly accommodating. Would most definitely recommend and am grateful for the professional attention to detail at Hyatt.
Hotel has a great location on King St, walking distance to all of Old Town's bars and restaurants. It is a new hotel so the lobby is lovely and all the finishes are very nice. My complaint is that the rooms are very small which is fine if you are just sleeping there. The big problem is that the room was sold as having a king size bed and the bed was NOT king size. The bed is as wide as a king but not as long as a king. My husband is 6'3" and his feet hung off the edge of the bed. Very disappointing. Of course we did not notice this until we got into bed at 11:30 pm and we left at 7;30 am so we did not address this with management on site. The room is probably too small for a full length king bed but it should not be sold as a king room. Don't pay extra for a king bed, it's not really a king bed!…
Living in a post pandemic world has its ups and downs. I stayed at the Hyatt in Old Town for a Business trip that was held at the Gaylord across the river. May 2022 PROS::: - amazing upkeep ! - clean - quiet - elevators- no wait and I never once encountered someone while I was in there for 7 days - close to shopping - close to restaurants - accommodating staff - about $20 for Uber/Lyft to DC or National Harbor - great water pressure on the rain fall shower head CONS:: - no ice machines - no services such as bar, lobby, room service - room size ... small but functional. Overall, I'd highly recommended this location for a girls trip or something of that nature
Beautiful hotel, wonderful location, friendly staff who were extremely accommodating! Highly recommend staying at this hotel! Do not hesitate to book here! Alexandria is clean and safe with shopping and restaurants nearby. Metro is super accessible, as well.
This hotel that feels like boutique hotel is in an amazing location of Old Town, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, waterfront and taking the trolley is super easy too (right across the street from hotel). The staff are all extraordinary-so professional, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, warm, helpful and made us all feel so welcome. We were a large group with 6 rooms. The hotel is super clean, modern, stylish. I love the lobby area as it is decorated very beautifully and comfortably while still maintaining warmth and charm. It was easy to walk, even with two kids ages 6 & 8 to the waterfront. You could take the trolley from across the street as well. We just needed a place to stay and congregate and we all loved this hotel so much, we all plan to come back just to enjoy Old Town Alexandria again! The staff also made it so very comfortable for all of us with their recommendations and warm personalities.…
We were hardly welcomed upon arrival and check in. No mention of the amenities. No explanation as to why the bar wasn't ever open or the hours of the restaurant. No offer to share information about local attractions. All that and my world of hyatt membership got me a view of the dumpster.
Loved it! Clean, comfortable, cozy, good location! The staff, particularly Angela, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, supportive & understanding. I appreciate that it was a dog friendly hotel. My dog was comfortable! Thanks again.
From the moment we walked into this hotel, we felt completely welcomed. Angela was at the front desk and was the one who checked us in, she was super personable and really helpful as we had never been to Alexandria before. She gave us suggestions as to where to eat, what to see and even gave us a few coupons to use at some of the local restaurants. She was always smiling and welcoming and we felt like friends by the time we checked out. The hotel was nice, clean and had all the amenities that you need in the room, the bed was comfortable, they had a GREAT blowdryer, coffee maker, nice robe, water and we got extra pillows as well. The hotel is only a block away from the Metro so it was super convenient. There is also a trolley that stops right outside of the hotel that will take you up and down King Street for Free. The rooms are quaint and clean and overall we had a great stay. Every person who worked there was very nice and any time we asked for something, they were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to the DC area.…
