Exceptionally clean, friendly morning person, housekeepers and maintenance staff. Centrally located to all the metro and attractions of Washington DC and National Harbor. Perfect hotel for a family of 6 in one spacious room! Loved it!!
The behavior of the manager is shameful here. We got an extra night added on to our week long stay and paid for it too. But the day before we were supposed to leave the manager called me and told me that I had to get out immediately. I tried telling her several times that I had a reservation and that I was paid up but she just repeatedly said that they were sold out and that I had to get out right away. Her tone during the entire conversation was hostile and she had zero empathy and complete disregard for the fact that I didn’t have anywhere to go. Honestly, she sounded like she wanted to come in the room and grab me by the hair and drag me out and she was pretty scary. That was the worst of it however I would also like to add that the swimming pool looks like a swamp and the hot tub is out of order, but they will not notify you about that. The place is pretty clean, However you would be crazy to stay here because they are literally the worst…
I stayed at the SpringHill Suites Alexandria on 2 separate occasions in July and August. The hotel is convenieltny located in Alexandria and a short drive to all of the DC landmarks and the National Harbor. I had a suite with 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa, The room also had a desk, refrigerator and microwave. The hotel provided plenty of FREE parking along with a complimentary laundry room. The breakfast was also a plus with the option of scramble or hard boiled eggs, bacon, bagels, juices, cereal and fresh fruit. The staff was polite and the hotel was well maintained. I visited with family on a business trip that was extended during my stay. I had to book extra days and the hotel was unable to accommodate me for the extra days. If you think you need to extend, book in advance because they will not make any exceptions. I was there for almost 2 weeks and an additional 2 days could not be accommodated. Other than that mishap on my end I would stay there again.…
We had originally wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn next door, but it had been converted into a residence for COVID patients. We found our Springhill Suites room to be very clean and the front desk most helpful. Of course, many of the expected amenities (hot breakfast, pool, daily housekeeping, etc) were missing, but that was not fault of the staff. We found John at the front desk especially helpful as he assisted in us getting Holiday Inn points even though we stayed at Springhill.
I was not impressed with this location. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly but it went downhill from there. The room has a desk that has sliding glass. Every time we moved the glass shook and made annoying noises. It even moved when the people next to us moved. The hotel was listed as non smoking but I was awakened to smoke. I smelled cigarette smoke coming through the vents. The room wasn't clean thoroughly because I wiped down counters and the desk with my travel clorox wipes and it was brown. The tub stopper wouldn't stay in the tub. There were people outside grilling near the front entrance on a grill! This was just weird because they were there when we arrived and when we left. It seemed strange because they weren't social distancing. They make you sign a waiver about parties but clearly that's not for everyone. The only positive was the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff.…
We stayed here since the Holiday Inn Express was rented by the county and they needed to move us to SpringHill. We were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk and she even allowed us to check in a little early. The room was clean, but I still wiped it down with my own sanitizing wipes. We left to go to our son's and when we returned to the room, the desk, nightstand, and headboard had ants. My husband killed them, but we were so tired, we just went to bed and did not request another room. This occurred the next night as well except they were also on the wall by the bed. The other complaint is that the hallway definitely had not been vacuumed since there were small bits of paper and trash bags of food outside of guests' rooms. Definitely should have been disposed of by housekeeping.…
This place was nice and clean. A friend and I stayed here for 6 nights to get away to study for our boards. No breakfast or housekeeping due to Covid19. The only complaint I have is that the walls are very thin. I was awaken by the people next to use having sex. I could hear every moan and groan. Very uncomfortable. You can hear others taking a shower through the walls as well.
My wife and I stayed here on our way home from Florida. We enjoyed our stay. We had a dbl queen handicapped room, with a sitting area, refrigerated, microwave, desk. The hotel was practically empty because of the virus. In the morning it was grab and go bag with water, fruit, muffin, and yogurt. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Morning staff person I think she said her name was Sharon, had a pleasant smile, wished us good luck and safe travels.
I decided on this hotel for my family getaway to DC for the weekend. Parking was free along with the breakfast. The breakfast was simple but filling. Walmart and any resturants that you can think of is closeby. I went to casino and outlet that is only 10- 15 min away. The pool is small but was fun for my kids. Room was spacious for all 5 of us. we had a double bed with a sofa bed that also had a truddle under. Only down fall was the snow and that didnt stop us.
We stayed for two nights over the Christmas holiday. I was really impressed when we checked in. We had drove out to the zoo and decided that was NOT the way to get around DC. So I asked at the desk what they recommended. The little gal at the desk said they had a shuttle that we could take to the metro station and even got out a metro map and marked it out for me how to get where we wanted to go. It was all bad from there. The hotel was hosting some kind of youth group and the pool and hot tub area are very small and loud. The kids were not well supervised and were not following the rules at all and no one from the front desk ever even stuck their head in. There were also no towels in the two days we were there in the pool area. We got up the next morning to take the shuttle to the metro station. All went well getting there. On our way back we called to get the shuttle to come and get us at the metro station and after three calls to the hotel which spanned almost an hour while we waited outside in 40 degree weather we were told someone was on the way, we were told the shuttle had been there and we missed it even though we hadn't moved, and finally we were told to take a cab and we would be reimbursed by the hotel, which we did and we were. When we got to the hotel the excuse was they shared the shuttle with the holiday inn express and it was all their fault. Save yourself the trouble and take a cab! It was only $6.50.…
