Advertised hot buffet but is none. Brown bag with a water bottle weird cookie and iffy fruit. Not even good creamer. False advertising. Ihop in building open 24 hrs. So no excuse. Room small but clean. Very limited tv channels. Wrong size mattress cover. Sparse blankets with difficult and loud heat and AC. Tea tree shampoo is good. Employee unable to answer questions. Just walks off acting like can't hear you
Very clean and quiet room. They made the breakfast as good as it can be under the COVID guidelines. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Krispy Kreme is right across the street which was a nice bonus. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Perfect place to stop for the night on a 1200 mile journey.
As a Platinum member, I wasn't acknowledged when we arrived and wasn't asked if I wanted points or F&B. The room and hotel are clean and well maintained. The breakfast spread was carefully designed to be the least possible that could be put out and still be called "breakfast."
Recently my lover was in town for a few days, staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Alexandria. I was invited to spend the night, and was pleased with everything at the hotel. It's nice and clean throughout, the staff are friendly and courteous, and the room was nice and quiet. Imagine, no noise from the hallway! The shower was nice, with the classic Speakman showerhead and well-chosen Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditioner/soaps. The price is nice, in part due to its location. This is a section of Alexandria that's just beginning to get updated and prettied-up, and that process could take years. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is a nice start.
1) Property and room were rather clean. 2) Guest Manager David Cook (?) was very polite and nice. Immediately recognized my Bonoy status and offered a King Suite upgrade. Him and the rest of the staff were beyond kind and polite. Reminded me of hotels in Dubai. 3) Please exchange desk chairs from fixed to rolling. These chairs are uncomfortable and inefficient. 4) Lobby market was somewhat lacking. Please stock some form of energy drink. 5) To Go breakfast is probably the best I have seen in COVID times. 6) Please put a trash can and house phone on each floor by elevator. No phone on 3rd floor. 7) Why are there no signs for the laundry room? 8) Why do the signs say vending machine but there are no vending machines? 9) Apparently only one washer and dryer for entire hotel. 10) Staff is so nice it needs to actually work on it. One night, the laundry room key card access did not work, and I went downstairs. The front desk person was stuck on a call for who knows how long and ended up giving tourist advice to the person on the phone. She was so nice, she kept talking to him and giving him advice and guidance. Which is awesome, but it took forever while I stood there waiting on her to get coins for laundry. I wanted to grab the phone - as a DC guy - and give the dude better guidance on being a tourist in DC. So she was great but either get better with multitasking or learn to tell people no.…
My overnight stay was truly a pleasure. The reception staff was friendly and most welcoming to us. The room was clean, well appointed and spacious. I felt super safe, super comfortable. The closet door however squeaked so loud when opening and closing it that I was sure the guests down the hall could hear it. Aside from that, I will definitely return here if I’m visiting again in the area. Please be aware that it’s a little tricky finding the turn-off into the entrance.
Fromt desk people are rude. The website shows misleading information offering breakfast at i hop that is a lie. I would not recommend this hotel not even to my worst enemy. Also the front desk guy always is outside in the parking lot smoking and hanging out with some strange people that are in the parking lot. That makes service more terrible.
I am at a loss for words for the amount of harassment we experienced at this property. Not only did they make a mockery of my son's documented mental disability but they refused to refund our money after we were forced out at 9:30 PM. Not because of disturbance on our part as we were nestled in our rooms quiet when the staff continued to harass us. While I understand people may not understand mental health its real all the same and many deal with it daily. I personally have chosen to utilize a support animal for my son versus drugging him. Yet the staff treated us like he was a fraud even with medical documentation. I will never stay at a property who isn't accepting of ALL individuals. The staff was rude and very unprofessional.
I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Alexandria on my way through the area on a long road trip. It was directly on our path. The staff was incredibly nice, the rooms were clean, the hotel was clean, the air conditioning was cold. I have zero complaints about the hotel itself. My only complaint is there is a horrific entrance driveway that is not even in front of the hotel that we drove past twice. It caused to have to make 4 u-turns because there is no easy way to get back to it. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay again.
So my daughter, son, and I had just come off a three day camping trip 1200 miles from home. We called for reservations on the way at about 9:00 at night and informed them we'd be arriving very late. We got there about 1:30 in the morning, exhausted, and ready to sleep for about 58 hours straight. The hosts greeted us with smiles and sympathetic faces, getting us through the check in quickly and efficiently. We slept, we ate a fantastic breakfast, and got ready to do absolutely nothing but swim in the pool and relax. When we asked about recommendations for restaurants nearby, ways to get around the city without driving ourselves, and the many sight-seeing options and tour pick up points, they answered every one of our questions completely and offered advice freely. They even borrowed me a bottle opener when I couldn't find mine in my quagmire of camping gear. The service throughout our 3 night stay was phenomenal and I will definitely be going back to stay there again when we visit D.C. next time. Best hotel experience to date, hands down. Great people, great service, clean, easy to get to, close to everything, fabulous breakfast.....5 stars all the way.…
