Had a great weekend (Sun-Tue) at the West Mountain Inn. Great food, great service, super comfortable accommodations. A truly wonderful spot in southern Vermont with access to many local activities. And if you want to drive a distance, very little traffic.

My daughter recently got married at the Inn. From the Friday night barbecue through the Sunday brunch the weekend was perfect. The staff are all friendly, hard working and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the barn was a perfect place for the reception. The food was delicious. Our family will continue to visit the inn for years to come,... More

I just spent two nights at the fabulous West Mountain Inn and had a wonderful time. The gardens and grounds of the inn are beautiful, the rooms are charming, the beds are comfortable and the meals were delicious. We did a hike up the mountain and went tubing on the lovely, nearby Battenkill River. The service was top-notch: friendly and... More

We dined at the West Mountain Inn recently and had a memorable experience. The Inn is a bit up a steep unpaved road just outside Arlington. There's a spacious dining room, as well as a bar area and sitting room. We got a friendly welcome and were seated immediately (we had reservations, which is recommended). The menu was prix fixe:... We will stay at the West Mountain Inn any chance we have. The setting is lovely, the staff most helpful and the rooms a pleasure to be in. The gardens are well kept. We will definitely go back ... our next vacation won't come soon enough.

We had a wonderful stay here. This is a beautiful inn and well kept. The property is gorgeous. The flowers and grounds are well cared for. We stayed in the Daniel Webster Suite which was spacious and decorated beautifully with furniture that fit the period of the inn. The canopied bed was very comfortable. We dined in for both dinner... I come to the West Mountain Inn every summer. The location is stunning, on top of a hill with a beautiful view, and the Battenkill River right at the base. The grounds are relaxing and peaceful. I love to walk the labyrinth, talk to the llamas, or sit by the pond. There are several trails for hiking. I have never... More

We spent a Friday and Saturday night at the Inn and were thoroughly pleased. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, the grounds are spectacular, the service impeccable, the rooms GORGEOUS. My husband and I never left the Inn...had meals there and enjoyed the view. It was a great place to go and recharge your batteries. No phones or tv in... More

We thought this was a lovely Inn. The food was good and the grounds well kept and beautiful. We vacationed for about 10 days in New England and everywhere we went the people, many of them inn keepers, were who made the difference in making us feel at home. Not so here unfortunately. When we arrived the person at the... More

Starting with the positive-the location of the inn is absolutely beautiful with wonderful views of the mountains. The inn itself is a wonderful, historic building with a lot of potential. Now for the negative-we stayed in the cottage at the bottom of the hill which needs a good dusting and cleaning, the exterior is in need of a good powerwash and... More
