4 nights stay with my wife and 3 kids ended up being an amazing experience. The proprietors, Michael and Kevin, were fantastic hosts and are very knowledgable about the area. Food and entertainment was second to none! I felt rejuvenated each morning and awoke to amazing smells in the 216 year old house. I'm a history buff and Michael and... More

From the moment we booked the Ira Allen House B&B for our stay for a wedding in Vermont, we were most impressed with the professional, courteous treatment we received. As we walked up onto the porch we were greeted by Kevin who was most hospitable and had cookies and beverages waiting for us. We stayed in a lovely room which... More

Our first time here and look forward to returning. Cozy, yet spacious, warm, historic, lovely rooms. The most comfortable sitting areas. Toasty, mesmerizing fireplaces. Beautiful well kept grounds by the Battenkill with kayaks to enjoy. Delicious, well-planned and executed breakfasts. Watched the full moon rise over the mountains directly across from our window. Conveniently located for biking, hiking, fishing, dining.... More

Thank you Charlette and Joe for the fantastic review - we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are not the fanciest inn in town, but we try hard to make our guests feel at home. Hope to see you again soon. Kevin and Michael More

We had such a great time. This is our fourth stay. We plan to come back again soon. The guys are great. They make us feel welcome. They are very friendly and accomodating! These guys are awesome cooks; I have yet to have anything bad come from their kitchen. They are good to make food that accomodates your diets, food... More

It was another lovely visit to the Ira Allen House, and great to see how wonderful the place is looking since our last trip there last year. Our room had some nice new updates to the bathroom including a beautiful new wooden floor which made taking a bath in the claw foot tub even better. But other things remain the... More

My wife and I needed to get out of Brooklyn for a great getaway over a long weekend. Visiting the Ira Allen House run by Michael and Kevin was an awesome experience. They were both super friendly and helpful with attractions to check out including discount tickets to Hildene. Michael made the best B&B breakfasts that we've ever had at... More

Perfect spot for all year around stay. The house is beautiful, very well maintained, near all attractions of the Green Mountains. Michael and Kevin are excellent hosts, and cooks. Breakfast was delicious and the place couldn't be cozier. We will definitively go back to enjoy the other seasons too.

Charming, cozy, comfortable, and friendly. In many ways, we chose the inn because of location and price, both of which were good. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful hospitality and delicious food! Homemade maple cookies on arrival; yoghurt from the farm down the street; warm fires in every room; lovely hosts. We will definitely stay again.

My husband, two daughter and son-in-law all met at Ira Allen House for Christmas. Although we didn't have snow, Tim, "chef extradinaire" made up for it. The food was wonderful and Tim had no problem with gluten and dairy free and vegetarian diets. The rooms were comfortable and the setting was very relaxed. The house was fully decorated for Xmas.
