The Peruvian Lodge has become our home away from home. It strikes a perfect balance between a relaxed, comfortable, warm and friendly vibe, and excellent customer service. The Peruvian is not for you if you want formal or elegant apres-ski. It is for you if you want to ski hard all day, collapse in the outdoor hot tub with a...

Peruvian is the best, most friendly and fun ski lodge in the west. Amenities such as outdoor hot tubs, pool, dining experience and cozy fireplace which always has a fire blazing, makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Please don't change a thing.

The lodge itself was a great experience. Great staff and good food. Enjoyed the character and the opportunity to meet many other guests. Great location right on the hill. Just beware of what room they give you. I was expecting the small beds, rooms and tiny bathroom - no problem with that. However our room (#54) on the second floor...

A trip to Alta REQUIRES that I stay at the Peruvian. The combo of location, pricing, ambiance, amenities, friendliness, quality of service add up to a feeling that this is my home away from home. It is simply integral to my Alta skiing.

My brother and I chose the Peruvian because our Grandfather had stayed there for nearly 30 consecutive years with his pals between 1950-1980 or so. He LOVED Alta and always stayed in the same place. We enjoyed the communal feel of the place so much. We stayed in the Suite, the top floor with fire place and second "room" that...

Great location, great value, great old-world ski experience. Staff are very accommodating, building is rustic but very comfortable and always being improved in small ways. It's a little more communal/social than a traditional hotel experience, but still provides plenty of privacy and luxuries.

You need to know that this place can feel like a fancy college dorm, esp. if you get a room which shares the bathroom. Our room was other end of hall so late night pee was a trek. Please don't tell everyone about this place though - it's our little secret and has been for generations - we love it!

The Peruvian is not fancy, or high brow, it is for those who came here to ski, and to make friends, and to have a wonderful experience. The food is great, the staff are even greater, and the rooms are just small enough to encourage you to get out to the common area and spend time with the others.

I've been coming to the Peruvian for 20 years. There have been improvements over the years, but it's still a delightful and simple ski lodge that is excellent value (despite some price increases.) The location is great, and the van to the lifts is easy. Dinners are great. Pool and hot tubs are good social; mixers.

The Peruvian is an exceptional hotel. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and relaxed. The guests are all there for one reason - they love to ski. The rooms are comfortable, the amenities are clean and the bar is the best Apres Bar in the US. At dinner, you are often seated with other guests so your dining...
