Rustic lodge in perfect ski in / ski out location. Pricey, but when you consider you get breakfast and dinner included it's a decent value. You can walk across parking lot to Peruvian Bar. They have a free shuttle service to Snowbird which is also very convenient. If you are at

The saloon on second floor is great spot for lunch. Great views and warm fireplaces, foozball and big TV to catch a few minutes of the game in between runs. Try the nachos and the Pizza for sure. The beer is always frosty!

There was a rank smell coming from the kitchen, the food sucked, but mostly just Alta’s elitist attitude is such a buzzkill. To be a purist one should have to ski on 2,5 meter wooden telemarks with leather boots and no edges. The staff was very rude to our friends with snowboard

The GMD is happy to serve anyone who shows our employees respect. Many of the the employees you are claiming wouldn’t serve you because you snowboard are snowboarders themselves. The bottom line is no one gets kicked out of our lodge unless they make our guests, employees, or both, feel threatened.

There was no microwave or coffee machine in my room although the saloon serves coffee and pastries at 6:00, and Trainer welcomes guests as soon as the coffee is brewed (about 5:00) to grab a coffee to go.

Good Morning, Can you send me your email address? I can have our Front Desk look into availability for slope-facing rooms during your stay. This service will not let me provide links, but there is information on cross-country skiing on the Alta Chamber Site / Discover Alta under experience. Thanks for reaching out! February 1 will be here before we know it. Meisha Goldminer's Daughter Lodge

"if u are worried about the room view, dont go! Alta is the view!"
"You pay more for slopeside views. Not needed.. you can view the slope from the restaurant and saloon."
"mine faced the back was quiet with views of the back hike to Mts."
"Don't pay extra for slope-facing rooms. The rooms on the second and third floor closest to the Saloon might be noisy."
"Ask for a room with a foam mattress. The spring mattresses are almost unbearable."
