from the outset my stay was a pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. vontenette, the night shift desk clerk was quite pleasant and accommodating. the day shift staff was helpful as well. clean, spacious room with king-sized bed. very close to the highway, which made everything accessible. i highly recommend this hotel.

Let me just start by saying I have never written a review, good or bad, for anything ever. And like all of us, I have had some bad experiences. The attitude of the staff here has really stuck with me in a bad way which has led me to do my first review of anything ever. The pink sheep are...

We had a pre-paid reservation at this hotel. When we arrived after a late night three hour drive, we were told our reservations would not be honored because we made it through a third party (Priceline -- wonderful experience with them, by the way). We would not have known about the hotel without the third party service. Priceline helped us,...

This hotel is only 10 min driving to downtown and has many restaurant options around (walking or short driving distance). The decoration is very interesting (the pink sheep all around the hotel add a little humor). The hotel includes breakfast and it is good.

Right off the bat. The Keys barely work on the door to open the building & then the door to open the room also had to be tried multiple times, every time in order to work. We both had issues with all the keys we got, as did the other people we knew who stayed at the hotel. I say...

I gave this place four stars because it really isn't that bad. They have put enough bondo on the place for it to be worth the price tag. They have cleaned up the environment and made it look on the surface as a cool place. But as soon as you look close there are all sorts of things that are...

Really cool place if your looking for a quick comfortable inexpensive night in the city. The story of the property is cool and they tell it at every turn. Nice job to the highlander folks. I'll be back.

I do not like writing bad reviews but this place was dirty. Stains on the lobby rug and chair. Unidentifiable liquid mess at the top of the stairs (no elevator) and my bathroom was not clean either. The staff was very nice and I was there for only one night so maybe I caught them at a bad time.

Went to Austin for a graduation ceremony at UT. Chose the Highlander because it's locally owned. It was nice, kind of shabby chic. Everything worked well, it was a great location and the staff was very pleasant. Biggest downside was no elevator and I was on the second floor.
