I was in Austin last week for both a conference and some fun, spending the first part of the week at a different hotel downtown and the latter at the Wyndham Garden. One of the reasons that I chose to stay longer in Austin is that I'm a HUGE music fan, especially for music from artists with ties to Texas....

Wyndham Garden is one of the most lenient and affordable place to lodge with your pets. We were given a handicap room on the first floor, and it was nice that it had a balcony that led to the grass area. Super convenient to let dogs out. Make sure ask for a first floor room. Good: Free parking, clean hotel...

Having never been to Austin before we chose this hotel because the more central ones were really expensive. So the location does mean that you need a car, although taxis into the main eating/drinking/shopping areas are only around $10. The rooms are a decent size if a bit dated and the bathrooms modern. The beds are large and comfortable and...

Our stay at the Wyndham Garden Suites in Austin was very good. The personnel were courteous and helpful. The bar and dining area were well furnished and served good food. We'll stay there again.

Broken hair dryer, extremely loud bar area, room located too close. It almost seemed like something you would see in hotel 6. The sliding glass door did not lock, the carpeting was in need of replacement. Decor was awful, the room itself was just unacceptable for a business trip. Conference areas were excellent.

I'm originally from Austin and took my girlfriend home to meet the family. We wanted someplace with good value near downtown so I could show her the wonderful city I grew up in. The Wydams I've stayed at in the past were all very good value, so I didn't have any hesitation booking two nights here. That was a mistake....

I am very sorry to hear about your experience at the hotel. I was not made aware of your issues and will follow up with the staff on that situation. I have had the Engineering department check the a/c units and adjusting the defaults. We are constantly working to make improvements to the hotel and have many upcoming projects. I...

This is an average place to stay. Rooms were alright, but a little dank. The pool was great. Breakfast was good. While the location is a quick drive to South Congress; there's no place to walk to. Also close to the St. Edwards and airport. You'll need to rent a car if you stay here. Staff was over the top...
