Stayed at this unique B&B two nights while moving our daughter into her new apartment. To say it's convenient is an understatement; close to UT and student housing .... and a million students (?) and restaurants elegant and honky tonk. Strangely intimate and safe in the midst of chaos (we sat on the porch and just watched it all go...

I loved my stay at the Star of Texas! It has all of the services of a chain hotel with the warmth of a home. The breakfast was pretty great plus free soda and lemonade all day. The room is clean and always cool, it helped me forget the harsh weather in Austin. The Inn is conveniently located, a quick...

I love the Star of Texas Inn! Always a great time! The B&B is practically on the UT campus. Very close to bus lines, and surrounded by great restaurants and shops because the drag is so close by. The owner & staff are all incredibly welcoming and extremely nice. I have stayed at the B&B a few times, and I...

The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. The cookies are a special treat. Love that they have a stocked beverage refrigerator. Breakfast is very good. The rooms are all terrific. Like that each one had a different decor. Sitting out on the porch with coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon is very relaxing.

Austin is memorable city for my wife and I. Once a year we make an annual visit during July. Kayak, swim and lots of fine live music. We stayed at the Star of Texas Inn for the first time. Great stay. We were in building two and were blown away by our room. This is a fantastic B&B. Service and...

It's a classic B&B. The main building is old and has some charm. My room was small with over-sized furniture that seemed shoe-horned in. The window air conditioner was difficult to adjust. While I had no trouble getting hot water, my colleagues staying there complained that they couldn't get the water hot. But the bed was comfortable, the breakfasts were...

This was my husband and I first time staying in a B&B. We didn't know what to expect and we fell in love with the house, room, breakfasts and location. Located withing walking distances from UT, Capitol and other attractions. I already recommended it to our friends and family.

We stayed in room 23 (building 2, aka the annex right next door to the main building) and it was perfect. The whole setup was super comfortable, from the moment we walked into the main house. There's no front desk- you walk in and there's a parlor with a kitchen off to the side. A woman came out of the...

I checked in on a Sunday afternoon and stayed for a meeting. My room was a nice size for me. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast home made was so yummy and there was a lot to choose from. I loved the baked banana oatmeal casserole. Will do this one again. The window AC unit was noisy, but put out...

I didn't book this room place myself, but what a great choice! A 5-10 minutes walk from UT and about 30 min to walk downtown. I got room no 12, upstairs, with afternoon sun on the porch, a lot of space and a nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast in calm surroundings. Home made food that varied from day to day, and...
