This was a very cute quite individual boutique hotel. The grounds were beautifully kept, and I was very happy with my room. The staff were friendly and the hotel bar was a great place to spend an afternoon/evening. The whole hotel had a relaxed vibe and being on South Congress you were within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We stayed at Hotel San Jose for a weekend in the summer. Although it seemed to be fully booked, there was a mellow, serene atmosphere in the lounge and pool area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with many local Austin touches everywhere. The service was great as well.

Not your typical hotel, its style and decor are a nice change from the usual cookie cutter hotels. Its a little pricey and they do try to sell you all sorts of additional stuff inside the room (soaps, flip flops, etc etc). But overall is is a nice stay and in a really cute neighborhood with lots of places to...

A girlfriend of mine and i recently stayed at the Hotel San Jose on the way to another destination and loved it! The area surrounding the hotel is right where you want to shop, eat and walk. The staff at the hotel were so engaging and happy and even made coffee for us at 5:30 am on our way out....

God, i LOVE the San Jose. I have stayed here at least 20 times, I go to Austin for work a couple times a year and have yet to try any other hotel, although the Saint Cecilia is on my list for next time. This place is so relaxing and lovely, the decor is minimalist and classy without trying to...

Travelling with a 1,5 year old toddler can be challenging, and even though the hotel really isn't aimed for families, we really enjoyed our stay. The ambience, service and the design of the rooms totally got us hooked. The rooms feels squeaky clean and being a cleanness snob I really appreciate that. The location is also great, just a short...

What a great hotel and a real gem in Austin. Every city should have hotels like these...they are impossible for the chains to replicate and that is a good thing. This place gives a taste of Austin. Slightly funky, cool but very comfortable. Staff are friendly, bed was comfortable, good, clever design, good coffee, cool bathrooms and products. Can't say...

The Hotel San Jose is a refreshing oasis in the heart of the weirdness that is Austin. It is located in the trendy area called SoCo or South Congress. The are is bustling with great shops, bars, and restaurants that are all within walking distance. There are also several great attractions within walking distance; congress avenue bats, the Lady Bird...

I really enjoyed the Hotel San Jose. I stayed there in October of 2011 and I would gladly go again. The location can't be beat with amazing food and things to do in either direction when you leave the grounds. The room was very comfortable and I loved sitting by the pool enjoying the Texas sun. The staff was very...
