Stopped in this town to regroup before going onward to camp in Big Bend NP, so we thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities. As this was our first time in Alpine, we questioned the staff about places to eat and see. Especially delightful are all the murals around town!

Excellent staff - everyone was friendly and helpful and it seems everyone had a smile, even the people stocking the breakfast items. They smiled at everyone. Just that simple act made for a very welcoming experience. The room was clean and in great condition. There is no elevator but the flight up is short, so hubby managed even with his...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights to a full day trip to Big Bend National Park. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The building is in a mixed American - Mexican style, with ethnographic frescoes in the lobby. Attentive and helpful staff, clean, well-maintained rooms and, of course, excellent nutritious breakfast with a wide selection to suit all...

On our way to Calif thru Big Bend Area of Texas from Mississippi in June 2015. Always travel w/our two dogs so it was nice to find a quite, friendly K-9 hotel. They even let my water loving Lab-Wippet swim with me in the pool. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

This property is now the Quality Inn Alpine. This is a very mid-range hotel on the far east edge of Alpine. It is very close to Sul Ross State University, but not much else is down on this part of town, especially eating choices. But, Alpine is a small town, so get in the car and in 5 minutes you'll...

Decent hot bkfst w/ SW TX flavor, chorizo eggs, etc. Holiday Inn and Hampton nearby at higher cost. Gas and McD nearby. Only decent place in town to eat was the...

We needed a place from which to explore the region, and since we like free breakfast, this worked not only in location but in price as well. The breakfasts are excellent, not your donut and coffee thing, but hot biscuits, gravy, waffles, eggs, fresh fruit and cereals and toast. The kept bringing more and more food, so they never ran...

We were there for three nights, 2 adults, and 2 Children under 10. The rooms were well tended and clean! The lobby was nicely decorated in a local theme. With the breakfast, we were able to tour, stopping only for supper. It is located close enough for day trips to Big Bend park, the Rio Grand, and Fort Davis. The...

From the outside, this isn't the most beautiful little hotel you've ever seen. And, in fact, it sits right across from a more recognizable Holiday Inn. Here's what the Alpine Classic offers: nice, clean room; really quiet atmosphere; and a for-reals cooked breakfast served up by a chatty, hospitable cook.
