We had the 2 queen bed room. Absolutely LOVED the linen spritzer for pillows! What a treat and so refreshing! The hotel is now offering a brunch on Sunday as well as a light breakfast muffins and juices. Get to it early. Hotel is directly across from the train station and we enjoyed watching the Amtrak passengers. Ate lunch at...

I've stayed at the Holland twice lately. Love it. Beautiful room and friendly people. Some weekends they have a man at the front door to open it for the guests. The location is perfect for walking to many locations. We had delicious nachos and margaritas. Friendly bar.

We really enjoyed staying in this very historic hotel. The rooms are very clean, but somewhat smaller. I suggest you request a room that does not face the street as the train noise can be horrible. Very good breakfast, we did not eat in the restaurant.

It's still west Texas, it's still Alpine, and I still love it. And to me, the Holland Hotel is the place to stay. It's a great location and drenched in history and decor. Just walk into the lobby and feel like you're on the set of Giant. They can be very busy so plan ahead. We made a last minute...

We had a great experience during our 3-day visit to Alpine. With a 3-yr old boy who loves to watch trains, we had a "front-row seat" in a room overlooking the tracks and the Amtrak station, where we had arrived by train. The room and bath were very well appointed and decorated in a rustic western motif. The lobby was...

Hello, We are so pleased that you were able to share the hotel with your son. We do have a front row seat to the trains, having been built for travelers coming here by trains in the 1920s. We also offer ear plugs for our travelers who may not be as enchanted by the trains as a 3 your old....

Stayed two nights in June, loved this place. I spent a fair amount of time just walking around looking at all the details: old photographs, paintings, tilework, architectural details, etc., all of which fascinated me. Loved the big main room, very comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was fresh and delicious, all kinds of fruit to go with the granola and yogurt....

Having lived in Alpine in the 70's and 80's, we'd never known the Holland Hotel in today's restored condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, employees we came into contact with, and the overall air of the place, which transported us back to a time and place we'd read about, but not experienced. EXCELLENT choice for travelers interested in a place's...
