The Holland Hotel was a tremendous pleasure, all the way around. Of course it was clean, but my mom and I loved the historical setting. The decor is both charming and sophisticated, especially the extensive stenciling on walls and ceilings. The room was just barely on the small side, but otherwise very comfortable. It reminded me a lot of European... More

We chose the Holland Hotel because of its age and western charm. Our stay was perfect. The atmosphere in this historic hotel is hard to find elsewhere these days. The lobby is wonderful and the guest rooms have character and are comfortable. What made the stay was the hotel staff. Everyone greeted us with a genuine smile and nothing was... More

If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Alpine with a historic flair this is the place for you. It has a lot of character, and is conveniently located in the center of town, with good off street parking. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they provide a decent complimentary breakfast, something rare in pure hotels. We... More

Old West Texas....LOVED IT!!! Sure I heard the train...but the hotel is of solid old build so sound doesn't penetrate like newer Sheetrock hotels...great breakfast, fast check in, clean comfortable rooms at good rates...will come back soon

Loved this historic hotel. Upgraded to a suite and loved the deco and the room. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well, freshly made local foods and fruit... It was a short walk to many little shops and to the local grocery store.

The Holland Hotel is a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant offers very good food. But the highlight, for me, was the fact that they foster dogs that need to find forever homes. It's a lovely place to stay.

We spent three nights at The Holland Hotel while on business in the area. We reserved a Junior Suite with two queen beds and found it spacious and relaxing. The trains across the street didn't bother us a bit - I grew up living one street over from a track so it was nostalgic for me. The bath is cozy... More

Continental breakfast was well done, the bed comfy, toiletries first class and oh...the ambiance! Full of character, that is greatly appreciated after staying in sterile hotels along the way. Yup, got snookered by the train whistle, but guess it means the economy is doing okay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and pets allowed! We stayed here for two nights and found the train noise very loud. Sounded like it was making a stop at our bed. Beautiful old hotel, great staff and perfect location. We got off the Amtrak Sunset Limited across the street, checked in and enjoyed every moment. Breakfast on the patio in the early morning hours was a particular treat. Thanks for a memorable--but too short--stay.
