We loved the hotel and the great downtown location. It was a beautiful suite with a comfy couch for relaxing and watching some tv before bed. The staff was very nice - not too pushy just helpful. Pet friendly and the pizza joint across the street was delishious!

This is a lovely historic hotel in "downtown" Alpine that has been refurbished. It is pet friendly and sponsors a program to help rescue dogs find homes. Breakfast was quite good with innovative offerings. Some rooms are suites which are lovely and spacious.

We stayed one night at the Holland Hotel. The hotel was built in 1908 and has been refurbished to resemble its historic origin. The huge lobby has multiple sitting areas with comfortable vintage design. It's like stepping into an old black n white film. So much of the original woodwork has been restored beautifully. The rooms are nicely done, ours...

We stayed two nights in this hotel and were very pleased. We had read other reviews, so when making reservations, we knew to ask for two rooms away from the main street in order to avoid the train noise. We weren't bothered at all by the trains either night. They supply ear plugs on the night stand in case you...

Alpine is well worth a visit and this is a nice hotel to experience. It is centrally located, across from the train station. So, be aware that the train will blow its horn, (very loud) several times during the night.

We didn't stay at the Holland, but we went in and poked around (and warmed up!) in the lobby and the courtyard and visited with the front desk staff. It's a beautiful historic hotel and the restoration that was done is stunning. It feels like a beautiful old frontier luxury hotel from the old boomtown days. The lobby even smells...

Loved the Holland Hotel and would definitely stay there again! Although the bathroom was small the overall room was plenty big. The bed was comfortable. Heard the train the first night -- no big deal. Never heard it the second night! The restaurant food is great. The morning breakfast included with your room cost is a pleasant surprise!! Homemade, original...

Love staying at The Maverick when I'm in West Texas. The stay is always nice, and the staff is great. Love The Century Bar and Grill at The Holland as well for a good meal and place to relax, and we especially enjoyed Codie. Looking forward to our next visit!

The staff at the hotel was friendly from beginning to end. Nice note on the pillow had my lady and I feel welcomed. Breakfast was eggs sausage yogurt and waffle cuts. Wish they had a lil salsa. The train would pass the hotel but in made the small town feel better
