Stormy night stop on way from Dallas to Lubbock. Subcontinent management at desk so braced for "the usual" i.e. patel kartel experience. Reserved but friendly enough. Several tries to get a room correct enough for the night in that it didn't reek of damp, of cleaning fluid AND of stale old smoke. The furnishings are another story best left untold...

Room was supposed to be a king bed and sofa bed" not recliner bed chair" Which the manager said it was a comfortable bed. Lighting was horrible. Room smelled bad. And to top it off a ipad was stolen. And no help was given. I really wish i would have just chose a better hotel. Haven't seen family in over...

When we arrived I though uh-oh, this is going to be interesting. However, upon entering the hotel it was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. Yes, the carpet and fixtures are a little dated, but the cleanliness of the rooms was unmatchable. The whole place smelled clean. The pool is nice and large. It was in the upper...

This is an older hotel that has been remodeled, but it is kept up well. We stayed 3 nights. Hotel room was cleaned well with fresh bath towels every day. The breakfast is a real plus. Yes, like someone mentioned, they do ask you your room number and only give you the number of plates as guests that are registered...

Great comfort for the price, friendly management, great breakfast. All around nice and friendly atmosphere. I have stayed there a few times myself. And will again, you get people talking about they have stayed at the Hilton and all these other high priced hotel an motels. Then they stay at a lower quality, but just as good they want to...

Stayed two nights here. Nice enough room, bit like most but with a bath and tea / coffee in the room the comfort we seek. Free wifi of course. A small store in the lobby for snacks and such like, nice. There was an annex which functioned as a Thai restaurant it seemed in the evening but we had meals...

Stopped for a quick overnight in Abilene and stayed in the motel with friends. Even at check in it felt like I was being monitored to make sure I didn't try to cheat them. I had to sign in every person individually and assign them to a room. We were traveling with kids so I had to guess where they...

Lobby nice after that dingy. Young children are not free as with most hotels, None of the free breakfast are allowed back to the rooms as allowed in other much nicer hotels. Air conditioners are old and loud. Would not stay here again. Very small and old dresser with little storage. Narrow restroom door, older tub shower. Unfortunately still here...

Went to Abilene to visit my son who is stationed there. The photos that my wife and I saw made this place actually look nicer despite some of the bad reviews. 1 thing that was positive was that the bed was comfortable. Keeping this short let me say the following. Bathroom floors were absolutely disgusting. Window covers and furniture were...

I usually stay in Hilton or Marriott hotels (with Hilton Garden Inn being my favorite), but for this trip all the major hotels were more expensive than I wanted to pay (over $100/night) and Country Hearth was under $70. The reviews were mixed, but the things that mattered to me sounded acceptable, and well worth the $40+ per night savings....
