The location can't be beat. Sahinbey is in the Ulus/Citadel area. It's just a short walk from the Museum of Annatolian Civilizations, the Citadel, the "Temple [wall] of Augustus, and the market, shops, and restaurants that climb the terraced hill. The rooms are clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. The lounge breakfast-room on the top floor offers an incredible view down the...

Very nice hotel, and friendly staff, they made you feel welcome. The buffet breakfast was your typicial turkish spread, olives, cucumber, tomotates, yoghurt, bread and boiled eggs plus cereals served on the rooftop. The location was ideal, walking distance to museum and Castle and local restaurants. The room was spacious and clean and serviced daily.

Try to avoid driving in Ankara, especially on a Saturday. We drove to Ankara from Cappadocia, and our GPS was quite confusing as the Sahinbey Hotel address it had didn’t match with the address that the hotel listed on my reservation. It was Saturday, and traffic was a nightmare. We didn’t know where to go & couldn’t ask for direction...

The hotel itself is hard to find. We stayed for a few days and had to leave a day early because we had to catch a bus. The owner hardly spoke English and the rest of the staff none -- but we find that is true in most of Ankara. Despite that, he communicated enough for us to get by...

Stayed 3 nights in May 2104. I honestly did not know what to expect from Ankara or Sahinbey, but I loved them both. Hotel room was clean and larger than I would have predicted. Twin room had two sitting chairs and a desk. Bathroom was large. Everything was clean and in great condition. I have no complaints at all about...

I was jet-lagged and stressed when I arrived and nervous that the taxi driver (from the queue at the central bus station) had to ask several people for directions even though I had the address and a map. The very friendly man at the front desk spoke no English, but escorted me immediately to a lovely room (101) on the...

We stayed at the Sahinbey Hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to Turkey. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, quiet and modern. In addition there was a very good view from the breakfast room on the top floor.

This was a great value hotel for a solo traveler. The room was spacious, very clean and modern. The service (Ercan) was excellent. They showed great initiative by arranging a hotel transfer, despite the fact I had booked through booking.com. The location was great for the Museum of Anatolian Civilization, the Ankara Hisar and was walking distance from the train...
