After dodging the bikes, motorcycles, taxis, pedestrians, dogs, etc., of the city, the rooftop panorama aided by good food and drink revives you. Rooms are clean and spacious, but the greatest attribute of the hotel is the staff, especially the front desk personnel--friendly, caring, accommodating and professional.

Had a meeting with one of our customers who were based in Manila so we decided to book a meeting room in the 3rd level of the Bayleaf hotel. Parking is in front of the hotel or in the basement,. We also ordered sn am snack and a set lunch which was served inside the room. Service is good and...

Very clean room; you will enjoy your shower with both fixed (rain shower) and hand-held shower heads available. Staff in every location are very helpful and friendly; service with a smile, warm, polite and courteous. Although the hotel is not that centrally located, the location is not a problem -- safe and very close to other sites most especially the...

Had a drink on the rooftop bar and noticed a couple of people querying their bills. When I paid for ours I gave the waiter 1000 note for a 450 bil which included servicel. I checked my change which was 100 short. The waiter did not seem surprised and went and got the correct change. May have got this all...

Had a great stay; very friendly staff, eager and always there to assist. Enjoyed all the meals on offer as well as the placement of the various restuarants, Sky deck, 9 spoons etc. The views from the skydeck bar is exceptional as well as the sunset.

We had been to the Philippines a few times, but always skipping Manila, as the conventional wisdom dictates. This time we decided to spend a couple of days there, and colleagues recommended staying either at the Bayleaf or the nearby (cheaper) White Knight. We were glad we chose the Bayleaf, primarily because the people there were so kind and generous,...

Enjoyed staying at Bayleaf. Breakfast was very good. Hotel employees were polite and friendly. Would consider staying here again. The only disadvantage is the location isn't ideal when it omes to shopping or eating out. Although Bayleaf has its own excellent restaurants, we wanted to try something different.

The hotel is in a very nice location and the views from the rooms are not bad at all. As it often happens, our room was smaller than one would think from the photos. Clean and tidy, but the hotel shows that it hasn't been refurbished for some time. Old carpets on the corridors, chipped paint everywhere, etc. in the...

This hotel was our first introduction to Manila. It was clean, smaller than what the pictures appear, but had a nice view out over the city wall and nice decor. The free breakfast buffet was good, but the dining restaurant was overpriced with "ok" food. The room was actually quite noisy as I could hear the man coughing in the...

I haven't stayed here but I have eaten at its restaurants and they are really good. Surprisingly sophisticated and good value cooking from a talented chef, whoever (s)he is. The 9 Spoons maybe lacks a little in atmosphere (at least when I went there) but it has lovely views and charming service and the largely international menu is excellent.
