About

#39 of 672 hotels in Kuala Lumpur
The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur was built in the 1930s and was ranked as one of Southeast Asia's grandest hotels. Re-opening in December 2012, the hotel is poised to reclaim this former glory; its piece-de-resistance will be The Majestic Wing, whose Neo-Classical details have been meticulously restored. An annexe, housing the majority of the plush rooms, was designed to complement the historic building. A spa has been designed in art-deco fashion.

It used to be one of the best 5 star hotels in KL. Unfornutaely with all the facilities and amenities closed, it is a pretty average hotel with overpriced limited food menu. The staff are are the only 5 star element of the hotel and I hope they stay on. I know the Majestic will return to its former glory when the pandemic is over but till then its not the best place for a staycation

First off, this is a review on their food delivery and not dine-in nor hotel stay. Booked via their friendly customer service on WhatsApp who was kind enough to inform us they have not tried either set to make a recommendation. More impressively was the follow up E-mail after the meal giving it a personal touch. Packing: Arrived in a box making transportation easy & delivered by the hotel staff. However, we still had to hold on to the base as the box was pretty heavy Festive Classic (RM 165) Starter - Ketupat Palas Wrapped nicely in its leaves with the sticky rice having an extremely nice texture to it with a little filling Mains - Nasi Minyak Gajus Rice was fragrant & delicious. Went well with the dishes without being overpowering Kurma Kambing The meat was pretty tender & garnished beautifully with onions & sliced chilli with a generous amount of sauce Satay Warisan Ayam The meat was juicy & delicious, accompanied with rice, cucumbers & onions. Absolutely mouth watering! Rendang Ayam The dish was extremely flavourful, slightly spicy & the aroma of the spices made it delightful Sayur Dalca A simple dish of fresh vegetables deliciously stir fried to perfection Kuzi Daging The dish overall was pretty tasty but was slightly too oily for our liking. Ikan Berlado Although the onions gave the dish a very refreshing crunch, overall, the dish was a little dry Aneka Sayur Goreng Simple, delicious and aromatically put together. Simple yet flavourful. Desserts - Bread & Butter Pudding The pudding was nice & fluffy yet firm on the top with accompanying syrup. Just the way mom would make it French Pastries No better way to end a meal than with pretty & tasty sweets. Given the delightful service, packaging, delivery, generous & tasty portions & after sales, we would absolutely recommend it! Our full review is on Instagram (@monk3yseendo)

OMG!! I have never been treated so good ever in my life. I felt like a railroad tycoon. After booking my room, i received an email asking me if they could lend me a smoking jacket for the cigar room. What?! Hell yeah!!! The Orchid Room is fabulous, wall to wall orchids. I felt like a duchess in there. I got the most expensive spa treatment package on the list. Has anyone ever wrapped you in purple chiffon and helped you into a bathtub full of flowers and mashed bananas into your hair? I could have died in there from joy. Best splurge of my life. And probably yours too. Its not close to the Petronas towers, but it is a step into a different time and fantasy.

I had to wait 1 hour to check in a long que, with only 4 counter open. Importantly there was no prioritization for elderly and parents with kids that was infront of me. Read previous comments issue still happening with no improvement from the hotel despite replies. The staff did not care less to assist anyone behind the counter, even more no care was given to ensure guest follow COVID19 SOP. There was no proper organization, some line was faster some was slower, the person arrive ahead of me still did not receive his key after i did, and the person after me receive his key first. This check in counter was a mess. There was 1 guy just standing around giving instruction that i believe did not help at all. Apart from that, my booking was with breakfast, as i am fasting i asked if its possible for meals to be send earlier to the room. Hotel was able to send it up earlier but i could not choose my preferred food. I could not opt for a continental breakfast of a simple bread with jam and eggs or simple cereals and there was no vegetarian option. Having said that the sahur meal was definitely way below standard. Food arrived cold. That is why i asked if i can have bread and jam. On top of that i was told to pay additional for a caffe late, which would normally be included in the breakfast buffet anyways. Apart from that experience, it was a nice old colonial building that was very well kept. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Fast check in, the room is clean and spacious with huge bathtub. It would be better if bathroom amenities are ready rather than calling the housekeeper. Please do some maintenance, example the switch between rain shower and normal shower, have to slightly push the door in order to open/close it, seal broken on the coffee capsules etc. It's fine, doesn't concern me. But please improvise breakfast buffet menu with more dietary options including salad, oatmeal, vegan etc. One thing I can't accept is the 'healty' nasi lemak tasted like plain white rice, no coconut milk/santan at all.
