This place is ok, cheap with a great location in Chinatown. However it does stink of cat's piss! Jess the cat is a rogue, personally I would feed her to the iguanas. If you can overlook the smell its probably a good place. Floorboards are pretty noisy as well, but it's an old shophouse so don't think much can be...

Stayed with 3 other friends in a 4-bed room, with our own private toilet, so it seems more like a budget hotel for us than a hostel. Reached way before our check-in time but was rushing to Sunway Lagoon and deposited our bags there at the reception. Willie was awesome and helped us look after our belongings while we enjoyed...

Bird Nest 1 is only 20 steps away from the gate into China Town. It is a very welcoming place with a nice area in the back to relax and meet other people (living room-feeling). They also have a cat. The owner is one of the nicest guy I met here! The rooms are cheap, good backpackers place.

Stayed here for 4 nights after reading great trip advisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. Fantastic china town location, near central market, train stations and GOKL free bus stop. The rooms are small but who cares as there are 2 nice areas to chill out, play jenga, swap travel stories with other guests. There are 2 showers, one with hot water...

Read about this place here on TA, but did not know where it was. Came to chinatown at 1 in the morning, and it was the first hotel I found, and they let me in! The prices are reasonable, they have a cooking area, a really beautiful livingroom, a super awesome cat, to gekkos (or something) and a nice semi-terrace...

Birdnest Guesthouse is a great place for backpackers. My wife and I stayed here for four days in a private room with a bunk bed. At 35RM/night for the room, it's the cheapest place we've seen in KL. If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere, as Birdnest is definitely a no-frills, strictly basics backpacker spot. But there's free wi-fi, friendly...

We have stayed at Birdsnest a number of times during various ventures through KL. It ticks all the boxes for us. It is clean and cheap. In a very good Chinatown location. It is basic yet still provides all the necessary amenities (towels, laundry, kitchen, hot drinks, hot showers, social area and a cat). Best of all is the advice...
