Just spent a happy week here and already missing it ! Loved the noise, crowds and bustle of Kuala Lumpur but was great to come back to my tastefully decorated, quiet room to rest and recover. Staff friendly and helpful, enjoyed the breakfasts on the roof ( especially the aloo parathas) with great views of the surrounding towers. Room a...

Nice hotel, clean and situated in an animated place not far from the city center, if you have a car you can park near Nova hotel there is a car park not expensive 10 Ringgit/per day. 3mns walk from the hotel. The hotel is small but the rooms are big. Avoid room 102, it is just near the reception and...

We had a 4 night stay at the Anggun in a room with a balcony facing the road. Check in was quick and easy with a nice cold drink and cold face towel which was refreshing. The room was nice and the towels made into swans was special. The bed was comfy and the pillows nice and big. The street...

The hotel in itself is very nice and very well situated, especially if you like movida. The room was nice and clean enough and the breakfast not bad. However, as other guests have complained, the room is often very noisy and it is not easy to sleep. Generally speaking, in my opinion the price, compared to the general level of...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind review. We understand that you had pre-booked our “Stay 1 Night Free 1 Night Package” at RM700 for 2 nights (RM350/night) from 10th to 14th August 2013, for the Anggun Suite room with balcony. We have taken note of the noise issue which as we are right in the centre of KL, the...

If you want to stay somewhere in the centre of KL with lots of noise and bustle, then this is the place for you. It's like staying in the middle of soho but multiplied in volume. The hotel is small, looks good without being posh, we had a suite at the front of the hotel. The room looked beautiful, large,...

Stayed at the Anggun Boutique hotel in KL for 2 nights though separated by a night elsewhere as part of a tour. We had read reasonable reports of this boutique hotel, preferring something with some charm and character than a typical 'you could be anywhere' city hotel. Nobody to help us through the doors with our suitcases on arrival, no...

This is NOT a boutique hotel, this is more like an upmarket backpackers. Many others have mentioned the noise - it is not street noise, it is noise from other guests, but more often the noise that woke us up was the music being blared out of the kitchen as they prepared for that days breakfast AT FIVE AM. The...

Dear Guest, We appreciate genuine feedback but we are not able to address reviews which seem to be with much discrepancy in the information provided. We would like to summarise as below. - Kitchen open at 5 am with loud music (our restaurant is open only from 6.30 am as breakfast time is 7.30 am since we serve made-to-order freshly...

We stayed one night before departing to Tioman Islands. This was an excellent choice; very nice and comfortable room. The hotel is an oasis in the middle of the chaos of KL. The staff was great and friendly. The hotel is situated 3 min walk from the restaurant street in Butik Binang, some 15 minute walk of the Petrona Towers,...

From the moment we arrived we were treated like a friend. Being offered a seat, a delicious icy ginger drink and a refreshing moist towel before we started check in procedure was a lovely touch. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An oasis of style and calm, this is one of KL's most characterful traditional boutique hotels located in Bukit Bintang, within 1 minute walk to the shopping malls, world-famous Jalan Alor hawker food street, restaurants, 15 minutes walk to Petronas Twin Towers, KL Convention Centre, Chinatown and 10 minutes drive to KL Golf & Country Club. Rates include free WIFI in room and whole hotel, internet broadband connected to LCD TV in all rooms and breakfast at the rooftop restaurant. Recently featured in CNNGo as one of the best 4-star boutique hotels in KL! Converted from two 1920's shophouses, most of the rooms look out onto a peaceful inner courtyard. The decor is incredibly tasteful, without sacrificing comfort levels for the sake of style. All the guest rooms have beautiful, handcrafted queen size teak beds, wooden furniture and wooden flooring. And the decor is traditional Malaccan with a contemporary twist. It has a lovely atmosphere. Why: Location, location, location. Authentic and delicious Malaysian food is minutes away; the city's best night life, within staggering distance. The shopaholic within will be duly fulfilled by city's highest concentration of malls. The Anggun's unique look and feel is a definite departure from big-chain homogeneity, perfect for the urbanite leisure or business traveler looking for an authentic and modern way to spend their time in Kuala Lumpur. ... more   less
