Great place to stay right in the centre of Chinatown in a beautiful old historical building with lots of character. A lot of common areas: rooftoop terrace, garden sitting area and two balconies with a great view over Chinatown: very nice place to sit. The staff is super-friendly: best ever. The dorms are good and the single rooms too: some... More

Stumbled across this little gem walking around China town. New business venture ran by a young family. Lovely friendly staff, very clean and comfy. Excellent location for exploring KLCC and gorgeous little cafe. Highly recommended for travelers who want affordable yet good standard accommodation.

I have stayed in this hostel twice; once in 2011 and again in 2015, not only because of the convenient location but also for the crisp clean sheets (I observed staff diligently changing them after each guest departure) and variety of room options including private air-con, shared rooms or dormitories. It IS a hostel, so budget accommodation is expected, but... More

We stayed there in a family room just after coming to Malaysia - unfortunately without reading any reviews... Haven't booked anything before but after arrival we had to change our plans and stay in KL. We decided to choose Grocer's inn since the location is perfect and the staff were extremely nice and inviting. The rooftop room we got was... More

For those of you wanting to explore Chinatown then this is a really great place to be. It's a cheap hostel, although there are marginally cheaper places to be next door. However those places are a little bit unclean for my liking. The dorms in the Grocers In. are hot and a little cramped but it's still ok. The private... More

It's a deceptively large backpacker place in the middle of Chinatown. Downstairs is a decent bar and they serve food and desserts too. I stayed in a four bed dorm which was basic and a bit cramped but then again this place easy on the wallet. Bathrooms were OK too. The common room is the roof terrace which is is... More

Situated right in the middle of the frenzy of China town in an alley connecting Petaling Street with Jalan sultan (Where the Hawkers and Thieves shopping markets are) This quaint old building once knew better days! It was considered home to perpetual frequent travelers who liked to have a reasonably clean quiet & economical place to rest their laurels right... More
