We arrived at 10 am and were offered early check in which was the first impression from the long tired flight! The staffs were great and the room was very very clean. The location was the best surrounded by local restaurants! We will be back!!!!
We primarily chose this hotel because of its location and value for money. Stayed 4 nights before moving to another city then came back to stay at its sister property next door. The hotel is family-run, with the teenage kids speaking some English. We did not have problems with checking in late in the evening, and check out was through a keycard drop box in the lobby. They hotel had a shared kitchen that we didn't use. We did use the laundry facilities and enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the lobby which was quite a treat after a long day of walking outside in the cold. The room had twin beds but my husband and I could fit in one of the beds. I have read reviews that said the noise from the passing trains were bothersome, but I slept well throughout our stay. Our room was on the 2nd floor. There are convenient stores half a block away, just beside a local restaurant where we had breakfast twice. There are 2 subway stations nearby, one being included in the JR Pass route. Also, a small mall near the subway station where we did our last minute shopping for goodies to bring back home. There are homeless people on the sidewalk heading to the hotel but I did not feel unsafe even at night. I would recommend this for budget travelers looking for hotels with priority on location.…
Pros: 1. Near to Shin-Imamiya Station (JR and Nankai), good if you are arriving late from Kansai Airport and do not want to spend too much time travelling to your hotel. 2. Cheap, good standard private single room with attached bathroom, very good for single travelers who are on a budget while not sacrificing comfort and privacy. Cons: The extremely busy JR Kansai Main Line is directly behind the hotel, you can hear train passes by every few minutes from 5 am till midnight. High chance you will get awaken by the first train at 5 am like me. I recommend staying at its sister hotel, Hotel Chuo Oasis instead. It is also located in the same area but in a much quieter street, everything else like price, room standard is almost identical.
This hotel is a good and affordable hotel. It is about 30 mins walk away from Namba, 15 mins walk away from Denden Town and 5 mins away from Tsuutenkaku. The best part, this hotel is only 1 min away from Dobutsuen-mae station. I have been staying in this hotel ever since it started and the staff all remember me. =)
It was a great stay at Hotel Chuo Selene. We stayed for 5 nights and were very impressed with the service and quality. The location is close to 3 different train stations and very close to a legendary ramen Muteppo. Shinseikai and the zoo is both near there which provides people both good food selection and entertainment. All in all, this is a great place to stay!
