Above expectation given the brand. Room was spacious and overall had a pleasant stay albeit a short one. Only dock is the location of the hotel where it might bot be the most ideal to move around town. Also eateries is fairly limited but as a place to just stay does the job.
The staff are so kind, considerate and did their best to help us. We had purchased disneysea tickets from Lawson before the temporary closure extended. The phone line only spoke Japanese so the front desk girls called for us to try to get us a refund. Honestly they didn't have to do that, and despite not being able to get the refund I am very happy with their help. I will definitely return back to this hotel and recommend it to friends and family in the future.
This was our second stay at Oakwood. The staff are superb, and the studio rooms with kitchen facilities have everything you need. There are several good supermarkets in easy walking distance, and it is about a 10 minute walk to Shin-Osaka station or 12 minutes walk to Mikuni station in the other direction. I will definitely stay here again when next in Osaka.
We had a wonderful stay here in April. It was a pleasant relief after a busy week we had in Tokyo. The hotel is close to Shin-Osaka station, which makes it a great destination if you want to travel to Kyoto or any of the other popular destinations. We stayed in STUDIO SUPERIOR KING, which did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful. We went to Universal Studio Japan for our son's birthday. When we returned, the staff surprised him with cake.
We had recently spent two nights at the Oakwood Shin Osaka. Check in was quick and smooth. The room is bright, modern, well fitted with amenities and equipment. Bed was firm and comfortable, wifi worked well, toilet and bath are separated. Staff are friendly and helpful. We asked for directions to Universal Studios. The duty staff gave us clear instructions and marked for us the stations where we need to change train. The walk to/from Shin Osaka Station is about 10 plus minutes. From Shin Osaka Station, look for the north exit or central exit then north exit. A shorter way, which we discovered on our second day, is to exit from the 2nd floor of Shin Osaka Station, walk through a overhead bridge which will lead to the 2nd floor of a office building. Then get down to the street level (Starbucks on ground floor) Turn Left and keep walking.…
After group check in, distribution of the room key cannot at lobby event in winter season (below 10 degree). A staff inform us that the main hotel door is for guests and ask us to move away and dont block the main entrance. But there is no guest during that moment and we the only guest. Is we not the guest for the hotel? I always think Japan hospitality is very good but this experience really change my mind. Hope other didnt experience as what i experience in this hotel and Japan. Thank you.
It was such a wonderful stay. Thanks for the team, Erika and Jun. The studio apartment for 3 pax is great for us. It’s fully furnished kitchen, 2 in 1 washer dryer, oven make it easy for us! It’s around 15 mins walk to Shin-Osaka station. Lawson and Family Mart are just few steps away from the location. Will definitely come back to stay here again. Thank you once again! :)
This ranks very high on my list of best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Our room boasted quite the amenities such as a fully functional kitchen, laundry area and large bathroom which are both very welcome when you have a long stay. Service is excellent and the staff are all very friendly. The only downside is the location being a little inconvenient in terms of walking distance, but Shin-Osaka station is not too far and is a major station where you can find many metro lines as well as the Shinkansen.
Stayed for 6 nights here , the location was convenient as it is close to the shin Osaka station. The rooms were excellent and the staff was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend for other visitors .
We in Tokyo at a place we found unsatisfying - noisy, spartan, uncomfortable. After that, Oakwood near Shin Osaka was absolutely paradise. Location - very good. A couple of blocks from Shin Osaka station and in the quiet side. Restaurants and groceries nearby. Not that far from Itami airport too. Cleanliness- spotless Staff - fantastic, helpful, multilingual, etc. what more could you want? Amenities: the room had everything and then some. Full kitchen, washer/dryer combo (not all rooms have this but there’s also a laundry room) and more. The hotel has an exercise room and restaurant. Everything is sparkling and beautiful. Price: very good, especially for what you get. In DC or Boston you couldn’t find any place at all for this price, never mind such a nice place. Downside: I titled this wonderful in almost every way. We found the mattresses too firm for our liking. That’s a minor quibble considering everything else. Overall we just loved it. …
