Very friendly staff, lots of info on activities, clean rooms. My kids' favourite hostel. A little noisy at night (many restaurants in the street) but that comes with the great location. Direct train to Kansai airport.

We stayed for a week at J-Hoppers, taking advantage of Osaka's location and doing plenty of day trips. The hostel itself is very well located in terms of public transportation. Unfortunately, the area is filled with bars so it is very common to hear drunk businessmen outside at night. The hostel itself was clean with good facilities. The shower timer...

Beat part were the people. The staff were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the place looks, smells, and feels old. Some more pros though are: use of computers, they have a geisha dress up box where you can wear a kimono, lastly they have a reward system that if you stay for three nights you can get either 300-yen off...

I stayed here for one night before flying from Osaka the next day. The hostel has a lot of great information about Japan and Osaka and the staff was super helpful. I got excellent instructions on how to get to the airport, and they have a great timetable that's easy to use (1190 yen, JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service 70...

We spent 2 night at J-hoppers. The reception spoke well enough English, the hotel was very clean and there was a lot of things available for free and for hire (hairdryers, washing, padlocks ect) . Also free wifi. There was plenty of showers and sinks and a lot of thing in the kitchen to use too. There is aircon in...

J-Hoppers has great value for money. Clean and private rooms, a little bit noisy (depending on your neighbors). They offer a lot of activities to meet some new friends if you're backpacking on your own.

Second time I've stayed at this guest house in Osaka, 8 person dorm in the 2nd floor is quiet and had good ventilation. And curtains for privacy which is a common in Japan hostels. Cheapest laundry machine at 200 Yen and 100 Yen Dryer that dries with one use. 3 person dorm is a bit odd since one bed has...

We stayed for a total of 6 days. Very near Fukushima station, good place, clean and tidy. We got a room for 3 pax, shared bathroom. With common area. Will definitely go back here when we visit Osaka again.

Firstly, this review is for my stay back in January 2016, so if any of the finer details are out of date I apologise. So as a little context, I had arrived in Osaka from Australia quite late, and had - by some freak of coincidence and luck - managed to find my way to the correct train, and then...

J-Hoppers in Osaka is what every hostel should be. As soon as you walk in you can feel the social atmosphere from the lounge area. We initially stayed in a two bedroom private room. Comfortable room with air conditioning. We also returned and stayed in an 8 bed dorm. Again, comfortable. The aspect about the place that is the most...
