I travel for a living, and have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last 15 years. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The air conditioner doesn’t really work. We set it to various temperatures as low as 15° Celsius. No matter what it’s set to, the room is extremely warm. I was literally awake the entire first night of what was supposed to be a 3 night stay. The bed literally felt like a wooden frame covered with a sheet. No matter how I laid, I felt wood digging in to my back. Come to find out in the morning that the mattress was literally upside down. The room is very, very small. So is the bathroom. So small it was extremely difficult for two people to navigate around the room. It was also very difficult communicating in English with the staff. Even the staff that had English on their name tags were not much help. The rooms are also very dark. When we voiced all of our concerns, we basically got no reply. We were still forced to pay for 3 nights in unacceptable conditions, even though we only stayed one night (plus a few hours). Any reputable hotel would have at least refunded the 1 night we slept on wood. We hated this hotel so much we departed after that one night, even though we paid for 3 nights. We moved to a much nicer, much friendlier, and also much more affordable hotel. Avoid at all costs!…
The hotel is just steps away from Universal Studios Japan. You can beat the USJ ticket queue by buying the tickets from the Hotel's Reception Counter. We booked through Agoda and it was very affordable at last minute discounted rates.
We were two Australian travellers in our 20s and it was our first time in Osaka. The hotel was very conveniently located to shops, stations and Universal Studios. The only downside was the firm beds. We were not used to this type of bed but it might be normal for Japan.
Clearly this hotel is in a great location for Universal studios but is a little run down. Poor amenities for an expensive ‘luxury’ hotel. No room service or gym, no movies etc. We stayed in a triple and a standard. The triple was fine, but beds are uncomfortable and pillows also hard as a rock. The room was a reasonable size and bathroom was OK. The standard room was tiny, with 3 beds crammed in it and barely enough room to squeeze between the wall and the bed. The bathroom was tiny and cramped. Wifi was virtually non existent in the standard room. Once you have done Universal Studios there is no reason to stay. NOT a luxury hotel but is still ridiculously expensive for what you get.
This place is at the entrance of Universal Studios and very busy. We stayed on the 26th floor ( 4 floors from top) and found it to be very noisy at night with the street amusement down stairs. Motel is clean enough although we did find a g-string in our room on arrival. Beds are rock hard, bit like taking your pillow and sleeping on the lounge room floor. The location is out of the way and either a train or overpriced cab to town. (Seems to be like an industrial area) plenty of restaurants downstairs, overpriced as usual being in a tourist area.
My family & I stayed in a superior quadruple room for 3 nights in October 2019. If you are going to Universal Studios this hotel has the most amazing location - the park is less than 5 minutes walk away! There are a number of shops & restaurants right outside and the train station is at the end of the mall. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel for budget reasons but with a Lawsons & Starbucks right outside we had plenty of options. The room was on the smaller side but for 3 nights in such a fantastic location we coped just fine.
Great views from the upper floors especially the restaurant. A standard high-quality hotel set next door to US. Though you will need a budget as food in the area is quite expensive. When we visit we either start or end our trip at this hotel
We booked a room for a family of 4. There was an option called "run-of-the-mill" room, at first we weren't sure about it but booked it anyway because they said it could accommodate 4 persons. The hotel promptly communicated that there will be enough beds for 4. Check-in was quick, and we were pleasantly surprised to get a room with 4 single beds! Unlike some hotels where you have to request provisions for more than 2 persons, the room was supplied with 4 of everything already. The rooms are impeccably clean and facilities are new. There are vending machines on every floor and a microwave oven is provided in each floor. A Lawson outlet is located at the ground floor of the hotel, and there are nearby restaurants you can go to just across the hotel. The building in front is actually a mall. Check-out was a breeze, you just need to leave your keys in the box provided in the ground floor.…
Book a night stay as we are visiting USJ. Nice hotel with very friendly team and the hotel is just next to Universal Station and very close to USJ entrance. There are many shops around with food and shopping available. USJ souvenirs shops are also available so if you did not buy enough in USJ you can continue buying here too! There is Lawson, Starbucks, Gong Cha and Gap outlet.
Great location for Universal. The hotel is about 5mins wall from the train station and from the park. It is in the middle of the restaurant area and so very easy to grab snacks or full meals. We had a family room for four. This was a bit disappointing compared to the Sheraton we’d stayed in Tokyo. It was cramped and the beds very uncomfortable. Recommend you upgrade to the Universal hotel, especially if staying more than a couple of nights.
